Because if I redline it in the gears I’d be doing 110 mph over the posted limit, not to mention potholes, road kill, hidden driveways, farm machinery, tar snakes and more. It’s a road, not a track. I’ve got enough metal in me from my younger and dumber days and really don’t want any more.

you wouldn't have commented like this if you know how overkill this bike is for street its next to impossible to max out this bike on narrow street like this

Good question, the 1299 pulls like a freight train out of corners but the V4 kills it once you get open road highway. The 1299 came with the full Akro exhaust and upmap, so it sounded better.

@@JohnPaulV well I bought a 911 C4S and needed some cash for that, so I sold the 1299 to the cycle shop…bought the 911, but missed having a bike a few months later so I got a new V4S. Cars are fun, but bikes are funner.

Thanks! I agree. It sounds really great even with no amp. I just got it home and I’ll let it sit a while to stabilize to my condo temperature and humidity. It was quite cold when I opened the case. This thing is heavy too! I can see why George needed muscles to carry it around while he plays.

@@robertsole9970 That's why it is heavy. Maple and Mahogany are heavy woods but excellent tone woods.

Thanks! I was there opening day long ago. Many people think it’s a urban legend and that it ever existed. Far as I know, no other footage exists to show it really was there.

@@robertsole9970 We always heard rumors about the place but it wasn't until adulthood that I was able to learn the history of it. I'll have to do some digging but there is a skate video from the early 90s that showed The Falcon. Can't remember the guys name but a few clips in his part of the video were shot there. Of course it was only the small part of the snake run that was left , but neat to see non the less.

Thanks! It’s what a 911 is made for. I’m still getting used to the turbo engine. Not really on the boost much in the video, as if I was I’d be going too fast.

Hi, I’m sure they will make a proper tribute video of him for us to watch. I’ve made one of Aidan that will be done this weekend and I’ll post it on my channel. I also miss them and cherish the memory of Denali and Aidan licking my hand at the fence and pressing their noses into my palm.

Hi Not yet. I’m not living there full time yet. I’ll be back in June and July to film more hikes. I’ll put the one you mentioned on my list. I’ll do the long loop of Bass Lake next. Also thinking of Angleworm too. Time is creeping up on me too….guessing I’ve got maybe 15 years more to hike.
