On the other hand, what you need to watch out for is whether the dock model on the market is still the same. If there haven't been any modifications in the meantime, on voltage, amperage and the management of the lowering of these parameters. This problem is specific to the Switch. The voltage controller fitted to the Switch constantly modifies the voltage according to the needs Switch. It is capricious, and this can cause problems with unofficial power supplies. Is this a choice on Nintendo's part? In any case, they're used to releasing proprietary technologies that are sensitive to any non-conformity. For some users, their console worked perfectly with unofficial docks for months, then overnight, it brick for no reason. I've spent a lot of time learning about the subject, because I wasn't satisfied with the official dock, for many reasons. I also have electronics skills, so that helped me understand where the problem was coming from. In the end, I bought back official docks, to recover the electronic cards and replace them in cases more in line with my expectations. It's the healthiest solution I've found. @neocvera Now, you're speaking my language! I have been an SNK fan since before anyone knew what a 4-slot MVS cab was. I think my first was Guerilla War or Iron tank on the Nes. All through the 1990s, I was a hardcore SNK fan, and I tried, oh how I tried to get an AES back then. Thankfully, when I hit 15 years old, I found a job at a game store called Microplay. It was like a veritable paradise, and everyone was welcome to try before you buy. We had 4 big screen TVs with 4 AES's connected at all times for play. Employees were strongly pushed to play with guests. We always had the newest games for sale or in-store play. The best perk by far was that we were required to know the products we sold backwards and forwards. We were allowed to "rent" any console we wanted as long as it was returned the next shift day. :) I can't tell you how many times I got to bring home an AES and whatever the hot game was at the time. Despite having access to just about any AES game imaginable, I didn't know Last Resort was even a thing. Until I got it with my very first Neo Geo console in 2008 (Neo Geo CDZ). It was one of the very best shmup's I had ever played then or now. Addendum- I finally got an AES in 2010, and it has been one of the very best consoles I have ever owned.. Fun Fact- my AES comes from the very first batch that ever released here. It came in an almost white box with orange splashes on the side. It says Neo Geo AES across the orange splash and at the top of the box. When you open the box up, it has a warning telling you that it is property of Hilton Hotels Inc. ;)

Yeah it can but it’s probably not the best game for the device.

That all depends on the games options. If there isn’t an option like what is found in Capcom Fighting collection, the 16:9 image will just fill up the 4:3 screen - which isn’t ideal.

@@neocvera Just watched, why is the 4:3 setting have pillarboxing when your screen is 4:3 native? Isn't "wide" 16:9, so confusing lol.

@jackipiegg yeah it’s tricky. The wide setting is basically “full screen” and in our case - 4:3. All of the other settings are forced 4:3 within a 16:9 image so they all look a bit off when filling the 4:3 screen because it’s still taking the empty space into consideration when filling the screen (black bars on sides). The good news is that Capcom didn’t develop a widescreen version of the game but only offered to stretch the 4:3 image to full screen, which is why we get to squish it back to proper fullscreen 4:3, lol I’m confused now! But it works!

a short jamma extension FLEX CABLE should be included what if your board is larger\higher\lower than the mounted jamma edge they provide? i get the feeling these guys dont know wtf they're doing :{

They’re providing a jamma cable/ extention.

What do you mean? The Nova Blast is only sold as an empty cabinet. You provide your own JAMMA arcade board or HDMI+USB device.

This is an empty cabinet. Just housing, monitor, and controllers. With a custom PCB to hookup what ever you want.. No games, CPU hardware, or software included.

Doesnt come more barebones than this, amigo

Guess I need to clarify. I already own their 26in monitor. I want the cabinet with no monitor, buttons, joysticks etc.

@@wgymiski I doubt a completely stripped cabinet will ever be offered. The lack of monitor would probably make the biggest price impact but I doubt it would be significant. If it's makes any difference, the monitor in this cabinet is part of their "Pro" line which has not been released yet.

Absolutely. I don’t care about waiting a few extra months at all. I do care about quality and details like this.

I can't wait to get mine, I already have a neogeo board and some arcade pcb's and don't forget about the steam deck fighting games.

It’s been done for CRTs over 30 years ago! We didn’t do it because it woild have added considerable cost.
