I find it strangely coincidental that Brown named those 2 teams as the ones he played for. My buddy is a Tottenham Hotspurs fan and my brother is a big Manchester United fan.
With regards to the sport industry, King Leonidas can plan out the logistics in terms of the space configuration including spectator space, general layout of how the game is played, trained medical staff who can respond quickly to emergencies from a risk management perspective (who are vultures by the way), and yet you can’t find any match officials/referees. Unbelievable 😂
I think Naboombu is an example of how modern fantasy writers parody the court intrigue of a European monarchy by placing it in an African nation of anthropomorphized non-man animals with a lion king. Do you think so?
This is one movie I still have yet to see. I’ve been seeing Mary Poppins air several times on TV, but never once have I noticed Bedknobs and Broomsticks. Also it befuddles me that these are British people, and they’re calling the sport by its American name.
Angela Lansbury as Miss Price in Bedknobs and Broomsticks with Tony Jay as Judge Frollo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame. What if Angela Lansbury and Tony Jay were in one movie?
I saw this movie for the first time last weekend, and when I saw the animals, I was like "Yup, definitely a continuation as to how the animals in The Jungle Book looked as well as how they animals would look in Robin Hood too"
I remember thinking to myself when I say it on another show, the bird that got thrown out of the tent is literally a Secretary Bird. They seemed to have placed certain animals in very apropo stations. The lion as the King, the Secretary Bird as his aid, the Bear as a fisherman, and the 'lower animals' as subjects. And humans not being allowed on the island because a lot of animals have a natural fear of humans.
Kingdom of Hearts should be made like this bringing Disney characters like Mickey Mouse , Snow White , Mufasa so on in their 2d animated forms with a live action character
The island of Naboombu would be perfect in Kingdom Hearts as a mini world similar to Winnie The Pooh where you could play various games (including soccer of course).
Secretary Bird was for sure based off of Sir Hiss. “Stop gibbering!” The king told him. Prince John told Sir Hiss to stop hissing in his ear! Both were annoying the Lion in each and babbling!😅

What if Disney made The Sound of Music (1965) instead of 20th Century Fox?
This is in PAL UK high pitch audio
Dallas McKennon was his full name.
He plays the bear.

1971 film.
"NO PEOPLING ALLOWED" As a kid, I thought that sign was funny. As an introverted adult, on the other hand, I need that sign more than ever. 😄
The bear.
Spurs & Man Utd?
Yeah
The Island of Naboombu is ruled by a talking lion, an anthropomorphic lion with a foul temper. His name is King Leonidas.
Lion: (shouting) Get out of here!!!
Fishing bear 🐻 is much better in 1971 after Baloo in 1967 ❤

Bedknobs and broomsticks is Like Mary Poppins 1964 With Julie Andrews and Dick van Dyke live action and Animation
Mr Brown + Mr Banks = David Thomlinson, Mrs Price + Balloon Lady = Angela Lansbury and Fisherman Bear + Fox = Dal McKennon!
@@declancolwell5443 Similar story.
King Leonidas's voice was meant to be a parody of Long John Silver from Disney's live-action _Treasure Island._
He has one of the loudest voices among Disney characters
Is that why the king said Arrgh when he's walking out with Brown?
@@brianrecinos3914Yeah, and also why he calls him "matey".
Lennie Weinrib's voice.
If the sign says No people allowed by order of the King
Well that was dumb.. I searched this specifically for the no peopling allowed sign and it wasn't even part of the clip. 🙄

I love this king

How come the bear wasn't voiced by Phil Harris who did many bear voices in his career like Little John from Robin Hood and Baloo from The Jungle Book?
Because what’s the point in having a single actor do everything?
Phil Harris was a huge star back then and Disney was into sparing money after Walt's death.
The fisherman bear was voiced by a different actor, Dallas McKennon.
@@trevorwarne1166 Correct, he was the professor in lady and the tramp.
Interesting, I remember the scene, but not the film.
' Who Framed Roger Rabbit' before Roger Rabbit. Underrated classic.

King Leonidas is like a mix of Prince John from Robin Hood and Shere Khan from The Jungle Book. :)
I kind of got the fisherman bear mixed up with Little John.
And The Beast from Beauty and the Beast with how he yells GET OUT OF HERE
These animated characters were like a warmup exercise for the animators at Disney which came out two years later in their Christmas slot.
@@tonyparra8459 and Baloo from The Jungle Book
The only difference is king leonidas has more of a pirate accent than a ❤royalty accent like prince John does
Why the hell was the king a pirate?
Demona Noir It’s because what is considered the “pirate accent” is actually a West Country English accent.
