Lol love how this comment section who I assume are mostly Americans are like "nAh lArY is riTE!!". When i visited the states, I would eat at a shitty restaurant pay a fuck tonne of money, and I still have to tip the waitress even tho she's getting paid by the restaurant owner who benefits from my business. This is apparently normal behaviour in America, like were meant to subsidize wages otherwise service staff wouldn't be able to make ends meet. and yet the same ppl who don't bat an eyelid at this ridiculous practice all of a sudden be like "LOL I WOILDNT TIP SOMEONE THATA DOING ME A FAVLUR FOR FREE!!" Stupid logic

If Mocha Joe wants to be rich, be born Jewish in his next life, it isn't that hard. And having said that, in this life go to the gym and work on your height, fin manlet!

Seinfeld was mind-numbingly boring, having said that Jerry did a good job in this role.

The “having said that” expression drives me crazy. When did it start? Is it a millennial expression? I don’t really remember it being used before 2,000 a.d. Why can’t people just use the “therefore” conjunction, or the all popular “although”, or the “as a result”, etc. “Having said that” seems to be a copout to a more accurate conjunction.

I feel like "Acting Without Acting" implies that the actor is so engrossed in their role that they essentially become the character they're playing. They play themselves because they're so immersed. If you're on the set between takes, you're not acting. Immerse yourself in the character and turn the camera on though, and you're acting without really acting. Jason could have explained his pamphlet that way.

Hey, everyone. I'm Larry David (not really). I make tens of millions of dollars, but that doesn't stop me from browbeating minimum wage employees for not giving me free ice cream samples, standing around to collect tips, trying to sell shoes, working as desk receptionists, or whatever mundane job I somehow find offensive. The rest of the world: OMG, Larry David...He says all the stuff I've always wanted to say, but can't! It's like he's ME. I'm SO Larry David whenever I go out! *They proceed to start acting like a d1ck in public* Meanwhile, REAL Larry David: Silent, reclusive, a genuinely nice person, and a talented writer/producer/actor who takes out his frustration through art. I don't have a point, here. I just find this entire contrast interesting.

People don't do shit out of the kindness of their hearts... especially not in Hollywood... if you do something for someone, yo don't necessarily have to tip... but you owe them a favor in return at some point... maybe not right away but it's just something

I love Larry David. Having said that, Mocha Joe is right. Tip = monetary reward for a favor; pay, salary, wage = monetary reward for an errand / a work. That's why we tip the waiters on top of their salary / pay. The jobs those waiters do are rewarded with their salaries. The favors that those waiters do are rewarded with our tips.
