You wouldn't be able to import the car even without tariffs because of safety regulations. The United States and Canada don't allow car to be driven on their roads if they don't comply with their regulatory measures to ensure safety for drivers and pedestrians. There are a few exceptions to this, one being the 25-year rule in the United States. I believe it's 15 years in Canada. These rules are the reason you sometimes see JDM cars on the road that are legally allowed to be driven as they qualify under the display/show car law. It's a commonly used loophole. I wouldn't attribute not being able to buy a Chinese car to late-stage capitalism. That is a blanket term used by pseudo-economists who attempt to explain economic degradation as a fault of the system rather than the fault of the people who inhabit the system. Accountability happens to be a core tenant of capitalism itself. "Late-stage capitalism" is truly a meaningless term as it is entirely theoretical. It is an easy, stand-in conclusion to make of capitalism and neglects the omnipresent qualities that exist in most people. Exploitation and poor governance on a massive scale are better attributed to qualities that people have and will continue to have until the end of time. The question is: Can people create a great government by way of becoming informed voters AND avoid falling victim to exploitation? They really can't. These two things seem to be inherently linked yet fundamentally at odds. If people on a massive scale dedicated their lives to deeply understanding the intricacies of government and policy, they would effectively waste their time and still fall victim to exploitation. The "informed citizen" can be found working at Target. Don't become the "informed citizen." It is a futile exercise to quantify the unquantifiable. Every currency that has ever existed has gone to zero with enough time, and it is just that simple. I wouldn't suggest any further reading of that book. (edit: sorry that my comment turned into an entire essay lol. cool video)
Fair comment
Trade wars are unfortunate from consumer perspective, just want the best car, but take your point on the regulations

You're not paying it off with 0% like you said you could with $99, you'd be a lot longer, it's nice having only 5.22% interest but if you're paying £99 a month, you're stuck with that for life, you'll be paying it longer than the batteries life, so you'll need to replace the care and then carry over the new payment, you would be paying just $30,000 for 300 months that's 25 years, and that's if you're paying off the car itself but you have interest, and the bank will pay the interest first, but the longer you have the car payments the more the interest accumulates, this is at best a 30-40 year, EV batteries for the current time only last between 10-20 years, you will be getting a new car needing new finance and still paying the old one, not worth it. could have just bought a car for $7500 and paid it off straight away needing no interest at all.
Right but in my second part I talk further about how it is getting paid off faster
@@georgewangyu Yes I saw that part but the amount of money you're spending on the car just to say you're saving on the car is rediculous, if you had the money you should have gone for a cheaper car saving you thousands more than getting that tesla. $100 now is worth more than $100 a year from now. even if we go by the cheapest way and you can take care of the car with a 5% interest, that can still be within 10-20 years, are you really going to risk that resla being replaced and you having to get another car just to say you saved on other things, you could have easily gotten a car worth $7,000 paid it off there and then, maybe offer cash to get it cheaper, have cheap tax, fuel and get it cheaper over time and save at least $20,000 in the long run, are you really going threw all that to say because I got a loan I'm saving in the future, you are not saving, you are spending more than you need.

Hi there! Awesome video, I appreciate the perspectives. I'm currently a first year nursing student and so far the env in uni pretty amazing and my studies are going great, however, I fear that there might be a downgrade or major obstacle I might encounter whatsoever that will bring me at my lowest points, I'm sure everyone have been there as well, do you have any perspectives or suggestions for preparation on that? Keep up the good work!!
ohhh this is a tricky one. I don't know much on nursing so take all this with a grain of salt but I heard nursing can be quite tough, grades wise. Otherwise, are you using professor ratings and course reviews to help with your semester management and courses? I guess the other question is if you are looking for flexibility of options in the future like going to grad school?
@georgewangyu fortunately the first semester went well, finals was difficult but I managed to pass my majors. I just hope I can prepare myself for anything that might go downhill.
@@JayLhouie That's great to hear! Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions in future semesters

I used to dream of becoming a doctor when I was little, but now I’m an Econ major. Hello George could you please tell me which Mic you use ? Thanks in advance

great video! loved the message!
thanks so much!
I do agree with you about the graveyard courses. However, if you delay them, you are creating prior stress in the final years with all the hard courses, then costing you valuable time that you could use for other insight ahead. By the end, you will have a ton of hard courses and will not be doing very well. I suggest balancing these courses in these semesters or taking the hard classes over the summer where you have more time to focus on these hard classes. Personally, I try to add 1-2 hard courses along with the rest being "easy" courses.
Agree that's a good strategy as well
Just pulled the trigger on Focal Bathys to replace my AirPods Max. I was seriously considering these next since I had the XM4s and those were AMAZING!
Interesting, ive never tried focal bathys how are they?
@ I’ll let you know when they arrive tomorrow. I was looking for something a step up from the usual in fidelity. I used ChatGpt to step up my search. This is the next step up in terms of wireless. I can’t tell you how excited I am for these! I hear their app also comps for hearing loss? Let you know soon!!
@@georgewangyu dude, amazing!! Blown away by these! Especially since they an option to connect directly to your device via USB-C or the supplied cable. Plus the app customizes your your experience based on your hearing. It’s insanely loud. My only gripe so far is that there is some noise bleed. Other than that the ANC on par with AirPods Max I’d say but not XM5. Definitely check them out.
@@soldier09r sounds good thanks for the recommendation. I def agree though the XM5s sound quality def is not as fun as some of the other headphones out there. Used to have skull candies and that one is super fun with heavy bass

@theairaccumulator7144 I also love the fact if it rains you can fit the xm4s in a coat pocket by folding them. Can’t do that for the xm5s lol

Note: If you watchced my previous video, the reason why my arms are fine here is cause I filmed this 3 days before I tragically fell off my scooter.

hahah how did you know?
The way most ER's work is that it is the endpoint for all emergency response, but emergency is a relative term. If you come into the ER with signs possibly linking to abnormal heart function, brain function or respiratory issues you will always get priority and depending on the condition most-likely immediate care. So even if you have something broken, as long as there is no internal bleeding or major risk for further injury there is a high likelihood you will wait for possibly hours in some cases. This is also because of understaffing in certain hospitals, mainly in the ER unit. Edit: I've been to ER multiple times, mostly for (partially) collapsing my lung multiple times. But each time I came in I got care within 30 minutes, and even got priority over people with broken bones as long as they were minor injuries.
Yeahhh it makes sense, however the system feels a bit outdated in terms of wait times. Or maybe it is simply just capacity issue
