A gender budgeting analysis of Gypsy/Traveller sites in Scotland.
With this event we marked the launch of our joint report with MECOPP "It’s been 30 years, and nothing worthwhile has been done" - A Gender budgeting analysis of Scottish Gypsy/Traveller sites.
This piece of work aimed to explore how local and national budget and policy decisions impact on Gypsy/Traveller women and their families. Through the use of gender budgeting tools, we identified differences and gaps in public spending for culturally appropriate housing and education for Gypsy/Travellers.
