I am also creating my own album and I wanted to throw some pointers for people. Stage One: The music should, normally, be upbeat and cheery. If you really desire, you can add voices like I did. Not every project needs to be a copy one-for-one. Do all the sounds of the music first. Listen to the song and really try to change it's feeling. Chop the song into a loopable tune. Make sure to muffle slightly with your equalizer tools (which ever you are more comfortable with) Your pitch, usually, goes down but I've seen projects keep the same pitch, and if not, some raise the pitch on certain songs. Then you'd do the other things like reverb, delay (not really necessary in Stage One) Your static is usually quiet at Stage One, but some songs do have audible static/vinyl dust so do not undermine the static/vinyl dust. Tip: find at least one or two minutes of vinyl noise and chop it into different, smaller audio clips. You can mix and match the static for variety.

Not gonna lie, this sounds like the good ending to some sort of 64- bit psychological horror game or something like that It’s a little off putting, sure, but it’s doesn’t give me “you shouldn’t be here” or “start running” vibes, it give me, sorta “You’ve completed it, there is no more beyond here, you can sit, and enjoy your time here, congratulations.”

This sounds like the sound you hear when you find a mysterious file in a game that you were never supposed to.

Tbh ik this is from a year ago, but i'm creating my own and I'll give some tips of my own for each stage. Stage 1: Mostly just slowed and reverb, don't make it too crazy Stage 2: Static in the background, more slowed and reverb Stage 3: Super slowed and reverb, add some delay and echo to it to make it more like Stage 3 Stage 4: Very hard to make, I mostly use 3 songs and put them in left ear, right ear, and center Stage 5: Stage 4 but more harder, may cause no motivation but, basically more Songs, about 5. One in the left ear, center left, center, center right and right. Stage 6: Pretty much same as Stage 4 but super slowed and more quiet, at the end add a slowed and reverb song of your choice
