This is a look around Xunantunich Mayan Ruins in the Cayo District, Belize 2023 We booked with the Viator app, and they got us a tour guide with" private Belize adventure". I highly recommend this. We had a private guide with us, and learned so much that we would have not learned without his knowledge.

We start out our trip in Honolulu area, show some beaches we visited Waikiki, Waimea Bay, Pipeline, Lanikai, Waimanalo Bay. Hiked the Lanikai pillbox. 20 years ago when i started beaching i was told to avoid Jamaica cause i would get shot ... did anyone get shot at Margaritaville in Negril when you were there? not me? to be totally honest I feel safer outside the US .... Last time I was in Colombia i went for 2 weeks and NEVER once heard a gun shot. the night i got home there were 2 gun fights with multiple shots whithin a 5 mile ratius of me ... THAT NIGHT!!! shall we list of the random mass shotings and senseless violence in the US? ... dont go to a super bowl parade, or church, or a movie theater, or school, or concert or leave your house .... HELL, Dave up the street took a bullet in his leg sitting on his couch when a bullet came through his roof and into his leg .... welcome to the US
A spoken intro. to let us know about you, where you are going, plans, etc., sans all that silly, canned music would have been really nice. That aside, you look like a nice couple. I liked the pics of you in the window at Cinnamon. I have been inside that building when it was a museum. Fun fact, it is on/near an old, local burial ground which is under the nearby sands. They told me that when I was in the museum. The water looked less clear than usual. Had it rained and run-off perhaps? Did you make it down to the other end e.g., Haulover Bay? That is my fav. snorkel spot by far for good reason. Haulover South. Nice shot of Cruz Bay at the end there. It's a magical island. Glad you did not get too sun burned. Cheers!
I agree spoken intro might be better. But I don't like talking a lot on camera, just filming. Haha And , yes it had just rained at cinnamon bay when we went.
@@planetzadventures2989 I don't talk much either- but even a few words to get to know you would have been a nice intro. I figured there was run-off. I try to avoid the water at those times. Let's just say stuff flows downhill and the local beaches often will not test well after rains. I also never go in the water at Cruz Bay, including the Westin due to known water quality. Mostly from too many house boats.
I have a question about these cabins. Are they in the actual State Park? Like can you walk out your door and go hiking right from the cabin? Or do you still have to drive to the State Park?
yes, this was right by trails. This is the inn cabins next to the main turkey run inn hotel.
as one world traveling beachphile to another... may I recommend the Sierra Nevada/Santa Marta area of Colombia ... mind blowing whatsthere to see and do

@@planetzadventures2989 The city of Santa Marta alone has 16 beaches, right next to Tayrona National Park with I'm Going to guess has maybe 15 secluded pristine beaches, and then another 25 beaches over to Palomino(town packed full of hippies surfing) think Negril 1971 Hippies everywhere ...the only place in the world you can lay on a sandy beach and look up at a 18,800' snow capped mountain peak. partway up that mountain range is Minca a small hippie yoga town known as the Eco-Capitol of Colombia .... FYI Santa Marta is the Oldest western city on the mainland Americas 499 years old ... oh yeah, for the young and fit, like you there is the lost city, older and larger than Machu Pichu yet a 2 day jungle trek to get to
@@planetzadventures2989 its the only place in the world you can stand on a sandy caribbean beach and look ap at a 18,800' snow capped peak less than 30 miles away, Santa Marta is the oldest "european city" on the mainland continents at 499 years old, with 16 beaches in the City, next to a National park with the most pristine beaches and jungle, or a trek to the Lost City, older and larger than Machu Pichu ... so much to see and do
Columbia may be pretty but it is very unsafe- says my friend who grew up there...and was randomly shot for no reason whatsoever...and he is a local.
