I love Ron Frenz's work. Hey Mike, please review Thor 383, it has to be his best work, he really channels his inner John Buscema! Did you know that Ron wanted to draw Daredevil but was given the Thor title instead? Image how special his work on ol' Hornhead would have been!

Just stumbled on your review, which is appropriate because l just read this issue. Good comments overall, as you seem to have a wide perspective on Batman's world. You seem to have some of the same complaints that l did. Underwhelmed by most of the book. I guess the art style bothered you more than my initial read. The artwork was decent, but Wayne's presence in the book should have been stronger. I guess Zantana's is here as the result of the Lazarus storyline, which l enjoyed in Batman vs. Robin. But yes, the price doesn't justify the content. Couldn't see the GLOW at the end, but that is the least of this book's problems!

What it comes down to I think is that Bruce ..this Bruce…z is his own worst enemy. Riddle here sorta remind of doc manhattan. He can see the puppet strings but does nothing. Also probably a sick &@&”@. as usual.

Another cool idea would be a continuation of Christian Bale's Batman, but rather than call it Batman 05 or Dark In ght 08, I think The Dark Knight/Batman New Beginnings sounds spot on! It shows lt start with Bruce Wayne returning to Gotham from Europe after Selina Kyle dumps him and he gets reinspired to become Batman again after busting some crook over in Italy or where ever he was. He of course would team up with John Blake and I think Poison Ivy would be a good villain to start with, like she some how has taken over the League of Shadows for instance. How's that sound. And hey let's introduce. Viki Vale to the Bale in the Nolan Verse, modeled after Scarlett Jo Hanson!

Do you buy double issues so you can read one and collect the other. If not, you should so one doesnt get damaged.

the original Dragon issues, from 1 to the savage world story still work. It's still good but not as good as that initial output of about the first 5 years

The X titles are being cringy to read for awhile . I'm still struggling to finish to read my back catalogue before this new relaunch.

It seems ok. It's a preview. I've never seen a preview I liked. It seems like a waste of paper to do previews. People will buy it based on the first story, not on the preview. I'm sure it will be decent.

Im shocked at how boring this was. The art being the issue. You're correct.....wheres the splash page of Batman? The dynamics? It's going to sell tons but I'm out at $5 or $6 an issue.

Good review. This looks pretty good. I remember Grant Miehm in the 90's. He pencilled some issues of The Avengers and was the regular artist on Ravage 2099 when Paul Ryan left the book to focus on Fantastic Four.

I stuck with this run of Uncanny X-Men up to issue #5, then I dropped it. I enjoyed the title ok up to that point, but the synopsis I read in Previews for #6 and up wasn't grabbing me in any way. After seeing your overview of this issue makes me glad I stopped.
