Installing spindles and reinforcement plates in a Cub Cadet Mower Deck
Today I repair, hopefully for the last time, the mower deck on my Cub Cadet LT1050. I weld into place repair plates that stabilize the spindles. Please like and share.

West Marine Swage Tool part 3
มุมมอง 512 ปีที่แล้ว
Here we try to justify the use of a West Marine swage tool when swaging 1/8" stainless steel mast cable. We try to pull a truck backwards and we get results! Then we do a dead lift of another truck using an engine crane. Bottom line is that you can trust this tool.
West Marine Crimper part 2.
มุมมอง 2022 ปีที่แล้ว
I got such slack about how unsafe and crappy my West Marine crimper is that I did an absolute failure test of a crimp on 1/8" cable. The cable lifted the back of my Jeep J20 pickup truck. The crimp wasn't what failed either. It was the cable when it reached its breaking strength. 2 thumbs up for West Marine!!!!

    The JD trimmer is really an Echo, probably a SRM2100, worth fixing for sure. Last year I bought a china 33CC osaka pro trimmer off Ebay which you can also get on TEMU. It's been great, I mostly bought it for the articulating hedge trimmer attachment but the pole saw works great too. It has a lot of power, always starts right up. These are definitely way worth the money compared to spending the same amount on some store brand troy bilt piece of crap or something like that. I did put a copycat speed feed 450 trimmer head on it, the stock bump spool is crap.

    Thanks for the video. I am looking to source a cotton belt for my 143W2 (uses same belt as the 107W1). I see there is a rubber belt, the 224400, and a cotton belt, the 210503. I see just a few of the 210503 here and there online including eBay. My challenge is understanding if they are correct. Some of them describe the belt as having 36 cogs, others say 35. Do you happen to recall the number of cogs on your cotton belt? Many thanks.

    Hi. Great video! I have exactly the same problem on a 2000 T9.9. Looks identical. Approximately how many hours do you have into the head removal and clean out? Did you use anything other than a pick to clean out the crud?

    • @carlmauro4813
      @carlmauro4813 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If wasn't making a video and the tool chest was nearby I could have cleaned it up and had it running in under 3 hours. I used the pick mostly but also a thin screwdriver, putty knife, and a round wire brush. I lightly brushed the head with a flat file. Order ALL the gaskets ahead of time. No oil at all on the head gasket and surfaces.

    Hi good video, quick question, I’m doing the same with my Yamaha 9.9 minute 14:44, right next to the spark plug cable that water jackets how deep is it ? 1 inch/ 2 inch ? mine has a layer of salt and it’s rock solid, thanks

    • @carlmauro4813
      @carlmauro4813 ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably more like 2". The small ports are the water jackets. The black area is an exhaust port. You can see better at 9:45. The ports go all the way to the cylinder and all the way around to the other side. I put about 15 hours on the motor while on vacation at the Cape. Never missed a beat. Then I ran it in a barrel of fresh water for over an hour.

    Bear with me on this question. I am thinking of buying one of these to put on an old (small) steel lathe that currently has a 1/2ph AC motor. I know you don't know the direct comparison, but do these seem powerful? I really can't find much about it, because I don't think anyone has put a sewing machine motor on a 1880s steel lathe. LOL I would love the variable control though. Great video as well. :)

I did find a running j10 8foot bed though with a 360 and it runs and drives.. the guy just wants to trade for my 44 henry magnum rifle.. even trade. But he has no title... so thats very annoying too how no one has titles. In va its illegal to buy cars with no title.. very frustrating. I also have a 90 gw i restored. Unfortunatly your truck is in peices and a bad bed rickers floors.. (typical on the beds) so this thing is only worth 2k$ if that

    Thanks for the nice video. Your closeups revealed that i have a missing thread guide.I just bought a 107w1 from an awning shop, clutch motor/ table/accessories for $300 bucks. The lady business owner said she bought it 30 years ago from a dealer in Sacramento. She worked the hell out of it on mostly sunbrella. She got a modern juki LZH-1290 to upgrade and the singer just sat for 5 years. I put on a servo motor, new feed dogs/needle plate, bed plate, missing thread guides/V-69 thread and cleaned it up and WOW ! Flawless zigzag and straight stitch and silky smooth quiet. I also have the singers 201-2, 111w151 and 111w155. I find it amazing how all my old singers are more reliable and consistent than all my other modern machines (8).
