Ghost Ants?
This is no joke and not a trick. First, I have to explain a weird thing that's happening in our basement. A few weeks ago, we had an ant infestation in the kitchen. We got rid of them quickly with the icing sugar and Borax recipe. (By the way, we keep a spotless house. My wife is a clean fanatic.) Now, a different bunch of "sickly" ants have shown up in our basement storage room. I couldn't figure out how they were getting in so I set up a video camera. That's when it got weird. On the video I saw two ants just MATERIALIZE out of nowhere! I ran the video back and forth thinking it had to be a glitch of some kind. No. One of them seemed to slowly materialize. There are no cracks in the floor or holes. Its finish smooth sealed floor. I think the ghosts of the ants we killed have reappeared. I am open to any explanation. Like I said...this is not a joke or a camera/editing trick. Look verrrrry closely at the video. My wife thinks they may have fallen from the ceiling but they would have bounced or fallen over for a second, and they seem to weak to even walk on the wall.

Sliding Squirrel Hangs Onto His Nuts

I did this abut four years ago and just found the video. I found an old election campaign sign that had a stiff wire inside it and decided to push the wire through the bird feeder and bend it. Then I slid some peanuts in the shells onto the wire...and waited. The rest was great entertainment for my grand-kids. I added a little production music and sfx.

It used to be said that if you build a better mousetrap the world will beat a path to your door. I have long maintained that it will merely mean you end up with more intelligent mice. In think the same applies to squirrel proof bird feeders. If they are hungry enough they'll find a way in and entertain you while they at the same time.

I put together a bird-proof squirrel feeder instead, but the Great Tits soon found a way to get in -- then the Eurasian Blue Tit showed up and followed suit. But apparently these two are the only ones smart enough to work it out.

What is the distance from the bend of the pipe to the feeder? I'm just surprised that they don't jump over the red disk right to the feeder...nice design. I have tried many and have not been successful, dirty buggers!

Excellent workmanship, wish I'd had that kind of ingenuity! For anyone out there like me, wanting a truly squirrel proof feeder, I had an Audobon brand tube shaped feeder that stopped EVERY.SINGLE.SQUIRREL. I didn't even have to add baffles, or hang it high or away from trees. At one point it was 4 feet off the ground under a tree. The squirrels tried and tried and tried, and after a while simply gave up. It was interesting to see a newcomer try things out, but it was an incredible feeder. Can't remember the model number but it had an outer layer where squirrels couldn't put their head through and if they put their arm through they couldn't reach the seeds. Birds had to put their head through this outer layer but could easily retrieve the sunflower seeds contained within the inner layer.
It looks like that chickadee can't get at the food in the feeder, how did they get at it?

Just mix extra hot chilli powder in the bird seed, mammals hate it but birds don’t notice at all. Our squirrels have all learned to keep well clear of our feeding stations.

Nice video. I had some of the little tree rats myself. I got a basic bafle and that completely did the trick. I never, ever see them even try.

Your squirrels are clearly not as crafty as ours in Canada. Mine would have long since jumped over to that feeder or from a nearby tree, these buggers here are assholes.
We are in Canada. Eastern Ontario...at least we were when this was created.
There is only 1 simple solution, a high pole with a platform that can be lowered as far from a jumping point as possible.
