I got this game for free from PS Plus back in 2016 and after beating the devil, I deleted the game. Even tho I was only 57% done, the game was so bad and so boring that I didn’t even care to complete it. When you delete a game that you got for free and never play it again, that’s how you know it’s bad.

This is what happens when a company had too much control over an franchise. To the point the team was very limited what they could do. Exactly what happened with Dead Rising 4. It is technically the worst Saints Row game I'm not sugar coating that. Even Gat Out of Hell was way more fun with much less content is pretty sad for this game. Especially following after Saints Row IV let's not even compare the two. I was sad to see Volition go with that being their final game. A few somewhat decent things too covered by a lot of problems. How they went about the dlcs is hands down the absolute worst in the franchise.

Fun fact, if you had a SRIV save you could import your custom boss into GooH which I thought was kind of neat. But if your boss had hair from one of the SRIV DLC packs, it caused the game to crash. I actually had to boot up SRIV to change my boss's hair back to one of the default styles in order to play this. That should have been a sign I was gonna have a bad time. 😂

I'm sorry but I prefer Reboot over SR4 & Gat outta hell anyday SR4 reused steelport with downgraded lighting & no changes, now we got a small map & super powers that makes you think this whole world is just a small arena There's no point in exploration because there was nothing new, cars serving no purposes when you can move across the map in 30 seconds, so the open world aspect of the game was fully gone Also now gun fight is also pointless thanks to super powers, SR4 might be fun for underaged audience Same goes for gat outta hell but even worse since the character customization gone

I like the game and have it for my PS4 and still play it.

I will admit that I did have some fun playing the game, but most of it felt lacking. It felt like a DLC stretched out to be a complete game with filler activities (some were fun to play like Pledge Rush) but most were tedious. I originally bought the game from a bargain bin for about $5 bucks. I would have been pissed to have paid full price.

It pisses me off how shit the story is, no robberies or anything just thus power of friendship bullshit

Game has it's issues but criticism at 20:00 is incorrect. The Saints deal drugs from food trucks via the Chalupacabra criminal venture. Lao dust is even mentioned.

The Sons of Samedi would've been damn near unstoppable in the spiritual world. They definitely dropped the ball on that. They could've been the main antagonist gang.

This shit still pisses me off till this day. Imagine if instead of those goofy ass villains Shakespeare, Vlad The impaler etc what if they used fallen enemies from oast games. The Ronin in hell seeking revenge against Johnny for killing them would've been epic..or some vice kings that wants their lick back on Johnny. If Johnny was up against fallen enemies from the past this game could've actually been dope. But it wasn't.....i ignored this shit on release and continued playing GTA V.

Got this one cheap on sale after beating 4, which was my first game in the series. Wasn't amazed by it but it made for a good time i blasted through on a Saturday morning.

The worst thing about this game is that they decided to release it as a spin-off... I mean, "standalone expansion" to Saints Row 4 instead of just making it DLC. It would've been more guns and powers added to Saints Row 4 which would be way better than this Disney shit.
