How God Fills The Gap
Reconciliation and healing are challenging journeys. Whether we’re working to repair harm we’ve caused or grappling with the wounds we’ve received, some hurt runs so deep it feels impossible to fix on our own. May you find the courage to take steps toward healing, and may you surrender the spaces you cannot fill to God, trusting in God's power to redeem, restore, and make all things new.

Open Apology Letter from Wenatchee First United Methodist Church Dear friends and neighbors, This past Spring, The United Methodist Church took a historic step by removing harmful, discriminatory language against LGBTQIA persons from its rules-a change long upheld by the Western Jurisdiction, Pacific Northwest Annual Conference, and our church. While we celebrate this progress, we must also ack...

We’re thrilled about our new collaboration with the YMCA operating an after-school program at Trinity in East Wenatchee. This program serves 6th-9th graders from underserved populations, offering them a safe and supportive space after school. Pastor Debbie invites us to pray not only for this program and its students but for our church, our community, and our partners. Let’s join together in li...

Reach Out
มุมมอง 8428 วันที่ผ่านมา
During the holiday season, life can feel busy with celebrations, family, and worship-but for some, it can be a quieter, lonelier time. In this week's devotion, Pastor Debbie invites us to embody the interconnectedness of the body of Christ by reaching out with intentional care. Whether it’s a text, a call, or a card, take time to connect with those you may not have seen recently. Together, let’...

The Little Things Matter
มุมมอง 105หลายเดือนก่อน
Sometimes, the simplest acts of kindness leave the deepest impacts. In this week's devotional, we reflect on how the small moments of grace, hospitality, and compassion can ripple through someone's life in ways we may never fully realize. Whether it’s offering a warm meal, a listening ear, or just being present, these gestures can lead to transformation-even if we don’t see the fruits of our ef...
An interesting take on the Anglican/ Protestant rosary
oops! I forgot to pray for the whole.... Thank you for the reminder.
What a wonderful story, that at its conclusion, opens a way for each of us to join in the labors of doing good... Amen, Pastor Debbie!
Yes, I will pray for our church, for this new mission for our youth. And they will come!
Beautiful message! Keep spreading the love 💗
Great intentions, spoken well, Bethany! We look forward to the experience...
The silent retreat is going to be inspiring for me. Blessings to all who have contributed to make this journey possible.✝️💟
Do you preach the Gospel?
Indeed we do. Learn more here www.umc.org/en/who-we-are/what-we-believe/our-christian-roots
Today’s devotional moment was a kind nudge to reach out to those who need us most. Everyone needs to feel that they matter.
Thank you Debbie for these words.
Lift the Lord up on high
This was such an inspiring Sermon about Conviction and Justice and so much more. I have been pondering the words all week.
This message gave me pause..... it truly feels like St Lukes Lunch on Saturdays. After 10+ years we have become a wonderfully full family. I wonder if it needs to be more known......
So Beautiful- Thank you FUMC choir!!❤
Thank you for your pause & ponder moment. I appreciated your comments regarding how different each of us are. I appreciate having time to ponder 🤔 before making important decisions.
Good.
This is a well presented thought! Which, if allowed to hitch a ride with you today, may prove to be a welcome traveling companion. Indeed, "Why can't it be both?"
What a timely message for me..... I see and feel so much growth at church... this makes me sing with joy!
How refreshing... to recognize and re-value the direction of our steps into the future. "But-we-have-always-done-it-that-way" is not the best recipe for healthy change.
Definitely a conversation that needs to happen soon
That really hurts to hear your pastor was so inconsiderate. Faith should never be led with bias or revenge. You see like a caring mother, finding what he can do to enjoy life and what he thrives with. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for sharing your faith and some of your creeds.

John, I agree with you about what Keir teaches us. My heart always pumps a little bit faster and deeper when Keir takes my hand for a walk around.... He is a blessing to our whole community.
Thank you, Keir, John and Kelly for opening the lid of grace and letting us see and sense the matters of heart that bind your lives together...
Wonderful caring mammy ❤❤❤❤
Good evening all. I'm glad I can watch this evening. 6:30 pm
Cameron is a gift that lights up a room..... he is a pillar for our church family. Nancy thank you for sharing your family with us.
Hi Cameron and Nancy. good video. I enjoyed it
How many of us have hurled Fairy-Larry-Like words or thoughts in our past? I have. I am sorry to have vocalized my ignorance and lack of sensitivity.
I better get my good self out!
Thanks Chuck! Karen and I enjoy visiting the Memorial Garden and do feel the presence of our parents who are memorialized there.
Elizabeth! Thank you for serving our faith! I miss miss miss you. I am going to make it a point to see you this summer…..
This devotion helped me to understand that my faith is an on going journey. God is not through molding me yet. Thank you Debbie for helping our faith community grow and move forward,; even if we just take baby steps at given times.✝️💟
Love this! Love the book! Great reminders.,,
The Five Love Languages is a very usable book that I read years ago. I found this book to be most helpful through the years with family members, my children, and with friends. Thank you Pastor Debbie for reminding me about this awesome read.
Thank you so much for ways to minister love to friends and family experiencing difficult situations.
Self reflection is so important and having the grace to except and love one another in spite of our differences and imperfection's.
Inspired message to help those are in need of something. I love the idea of angels among us; that we as Christians might be entertaining.😇
Wow! Little rain drop, you took me on an incredible, eye-opening experience. How marvelous of you to write to Glen, I feel so fortunate to hear your perspective! I will start looking at rain and tears and glaciers and thinking about the big bang and molecules marrying with a brand new neuronal circuits, awe, wonder, and imagination. Holy stuff, Glen! June
A message from the heart... in it Debbie marks our church-family growth with measues of love. May we all reciprocate with exercises of affirmation toward her, our congregation and the wider community around us!
Great devotion.
Amen PO 🥳👏👍🥰❤
It is true that many of us need help, yet are slow to ask for it. I appreciate your words of encouragement. Thanks Debbie.
Great words of encouragement to be able to accept disagreement in some areas and yet be able to find other areas where we can move on together. That sounds way better than "blowing things up" and just not talking or communicating. Thanks Debbie!
Words of wisdom for those of us who need a hand now and then... which is to say All of us. Thank you, Debbie.
Thank you, Pastor Debbie.
Never underestimate the healing power of kindness.
During the 1950s, racism was defined as excluding blacks from owning homes in the neighborhood where my parents lived. A social real estate effort was made to have a black family live in every block. This was supposed to eliminate racism. During the 1960s Martin Luther King, Jr. expanded the meaning of racism in my life. He claimed racism was one identifiable group of people considering themselves superior to another identifiable group of people. Slaves were a group of people in the United States with black skin. They became free in 1863 by the Emancipation Proclamation. However, MLK was leading Americans in 1963 because blacks were struggling to get the right to vote. Society was still treating some children of God as inferior. The government of Christian England treated the people of India as inferior, and Mahatma Gandhi challenged that government. In 1947 India became free. Treating these children of God as inferior was the sin. The Jews were treated as inferior people during the leadership of a political party in Christian Germany. In 1948 the state of Israel was created. When do I consider myself superior to another person? Gandhi and MLK taught to imbed love in the means to the ends of political activity, and this meant no physical violence, so that the community will love each other when the goals are achieved. "Do unto your neighbor as you would have your neighbor do unto you". Eliminating racism should follow this principle.
I hope the Church of Christ, will expand to include (1) all those who follow the Torah and the Prophets of the Old Testament, (2) all those who follow the Gospels and Letters of the New Testament, (3) all those who follow the teaching of the Quran after the Bible was cannonized, but will follow the guidance by the Holy Spirit in their current daily life.
