Route optimization and route planning by Routific
Danke
Gern geschehen / you're welcome!
It changed my route from 1,190km to 1,223km. Disappointing. I was planning a road trip out of Amsterdam with 8 stops on the route. After I finished plotting it out I decided to look for something to optimize it. I was surprised to find this made the route longer.
Why can't Google implement this feature without needing a third party extension?
because they have a paid product for that
What does giving access to Google account entail? What can the extension do with this access unknow to the user? Extension looks brilliant, thanks for making it and making it so accessible through an extension, just slightly hesitant with the need to give it access to the account?
It does not work for the US? I am adding my home address as start and finish stops, and it takes me to Canada and it says, I cannot find the routes.
Any chance you can do ab updated 2024 video? Im looking for a single route app for contractor work.
We're working on it 🙂
This js really helpful. Im going to use it and comment on its usefulness
This is NOT free
Hi there! The Routific Chrome extension is completely free. Please let us know if you have any questions.
Why I can find videos of this company talking about other companies but there own product in detail to detail ?
Do you know a low cost territory planner app, where I upload my customer location from an excel or CSV and then have the software cluster the customers based on proximity the map setting a constraint of X number of locations per cluster? any pointer would ve highly appreciated.
Hi Carlos! We may be able to help. If you upload an Excel/CSV into Routific, we will create clusters for you and assign them to routes/drivers. You can also add a restraint called 'capacity' on each route/vehicle. Have you signed up for a free trial yet to see? www.routific.com You don't need to put down a credit card to try. You can also email us at support@routific.com for more help once you've started your trial.
Now, in order to get a "Start" button and commence navigation: Click on the vertical ellipsis in Maps with your route displayed, click on Edit Stops, click on Add Stop, select "Your Location", move your location new stop to the top, and press "Done" The Start button should now appear and you can navigate. It is not what one would call obvious.
Can you do load balancing between a fleet. i.e. optimal load per vehicle then plan the route
You can set the capacity of each vehicle, and Routific will ensure the vehicle is not overloaded based on the number of orders you have. Let us know if we've answered your question! You can also email us at support@routific.com. Cheers!
I sometimes feel if AI wants to kill us it's going to use Google maps for it. The amount of times it's just told me to drive into water is insane!, I just put in the route to a McDonald's in a rural area at night, it told me to keep going straight at the intersection in the middle of the field, I did, till I started hearing waves and there was a river infront of me. It didn't even tell me to turn around! It just said "drive straight" I mean all I wanted was some food. How do you get offended enough to kill me by that request?!
We hear you! Google Maps directions have got us into some sticky situations too. AI was made for the saying "trust, but verify".
I really needed this.
Thanks! We're happy to know it's useful :-)
Sorry dude your ETA cannot be accurate it's an estimated time
These all suck for a guy who just doesn't wan't a monthly subscription and will pay only a one-time fee. I need up to 75 stops per day, no limits. What do you recommend? Why is this so expensive?
We hear you -- we get this question a lot! We know a monthly subscription can look expensive, but our customers actually save money. Optimized routes are 20-25% shorter than manually planned routes, especially if you're doing as many as 75 stops a day. It would be interesting to take your monthly gas bill and see how much a 20% saving would be -- if it's $50 or more, you're already winning! There are free planners like Mapquest, but none of them will do more than 20 stops. It's because these services cost money to provide -- MapQuest pays for itself by using ads, but even they have a stop limit.
I've tried so many map apps that pretend to be free right up until the moment you start to use it. Does anybody know a free app that you can map out a giant circle and choose roads you want to ride on, not what buildings you want to go to.
Hi, we're not aware of anything that can do exactly what you describe, but it sounds interesting! What exactly are you trying to do -- is it for deliveries, a bus route, recreational? It would help us narrow things down a bit.
@@Routific recreation, I'm trying to make short motorcycle routes around my general area, some of the area's don't have any buildings so there's no place to pinpoint, I need to be able to just drop a pin on an empty road and have it be recognized.
I wonder if Footpath might work for you? They have a neat feature where you can draw a route with your finger and they automatically snap to the nearest roads/paths. And there's a motorcycle route option!
@@Routific ..."footpath", I'll check it out...thx
Tiene gps incluido en la App? O hay que instalarlo a cada vehículo?
¡Hola! Usamos el GPS del teléfono para rastrear, por lo que no hay necesidad de equipo adicional.
Once I've copied the link, how do I send it from my pc to a cell phone in a text?
Hi, the answer to this will vary depending on where in the world you are, and what kinds of mobile services are offered in your country. If your driver has email, sending to their email address is probably easiest and cheapest. But there are plenty of services that will send texts from your desktop to SMS. Try this Google search: www.google.com/search?q=desktop+to+sms
@@Routific This does not work if I have dragged the route - how to send to driver so they can just open the make and preview/start the route.
I'm going to be delivering flowers. All I need is to find the most efficient route. Which software would you recommend? Oh and the max number of stops would be 20. Thanks in advance.
Hey there Scott! Try RouteXL if an optimized route is what you need and nothing more. Their free version allows for 20 stops. We have a blog that reviews a few other options: blog.routific.com/blog/free-route-planning-software-with-unlimited-stops
Sir, dude, friend... can you normalize the levels of your audio here? Way, way, way too low. When commercials come in, they BLAST!!
Whoah that's not good! Thanks for the heads-up -- we'll work on it.
All these apps cost money. What a shame for a poor man such as myself.
Hey there! There are a few free options, which we highlight in the video and in the summary: Review of Free Route Planner Apps: 0:15 - Google Maps 1:58 - Mapquest 2:26 - RouteXL 2:55 - Flightmap
the problem with this software is lunch time it dosent work input in app you can input 1130am-1200pm an it goes nuts and always says driver starts at 8am what delivery driver that late lol. not geard to californa or texas. this is by using the 7 day free trial if the trial doesnt work im not buying. also your not on Iphone or didnt show on the first 50 apps ive seen.
Hi Michael, if you’re having trouble inputting your lunch break, we’d be happy to help. Please email us at support@routific.com and we can arrange some 1-1 assistance.
Mapquest is bugged right now messes up all the time and has a max of 26 stops. Flightmap doesnt have a website that i could find and when i found the software is was super buggy. route xl has a max of 23 stops or you have to "donate" paid in euros. if im going to pay for a route making its going to be better then these options
Hey Dave, thanks for your feedback! We agree it’s really hard to evaluate route planning software when the number of stops is limited, which is why we don’t put any limits, even on our free trial version. You’re welcome to try us out at Routific.com (no limits, and no credit card needed!)
IS THERE ANY APP WHICH CAN MAKE THE FASTEST ROUT FOR DIFFERENT GPRS LOCATION ( NOT ADRESS)
Hi Ranji, our Routific app can handle locations expressed as latitude and longitude, and our routes are super efficient! The route planning does need to be in our desktop app, though. If you want more details our team at support@routific.com will be very happy to help.
Great concept but you guys have absolutely terrible reviews on the app
Hey Ryan, thanks for the comment. Yup, our mobile app reviews hurt! Part of the problem is that it's not a standalone driver app - it's designed to receive routes planned using our web app, not for route planning from scratch. That said, we're working on a brand new app which will be in closed beta before the end of this year.
Good Lord! these apps are expensive. i have been driving for 3 plus years, i talk to other drivers every day, and i have never heard of anyone paying more than $40 a month for a route app. i pay 15 and many work off the free versions. i use zeo app, i can do 70 stops a day, it keeps a history of every route and easy to export to my pc. what exactly are you getting for $200?? seems like extreme overkill. there is not a lot of money in this business, i dont know of anyone that could afford 200 a month.
Hi Joey, most of the apps we've reviewed here are actually for planners and dispatchers rather than individual drivers. It totally makes sense that $200 is too much to expect a single driver to pay! But for a small business that's managing multiple routes and drivers every day, things look a little different. Your question has flagged that we haven't made this really clear, though, so thanks! And we'll add Zeo to our next round of reviews :-)
@@Routific when i hear deliveries i think of driver, i would have said fleet or networks. 200 is really cheap, the place i work for pays over 1k a month.
Our pricing starts at $39 per vehicle per month :-).
indeed cool promotion - was kinda useful overview of free vs paid implementations
Do u know a route planer that uses commercial truck navigation?
Hi, sorry we can't help you on this one -- we mainly serve small to medium-sized home delivery businesses, so commercial truck navigation is a bit out of our expertise. Hope you find what you're looking for!
I'm looking for the app where I can scan the barcode or scan my listing and it optimizes
Hi, we didn't consider barcode scanning specifically in our reviews, but here's a list that we hope is useful for you! www.getapp.com/transportation-logistics-software/route-planning/f/barcode-scanning/
Vancouver based business?
Yup :-)

We hear you! When we update this video, we'll be be sure to include our own app. In the meantime, you might want to check out our more up-to-date blog post: blog.routific.com/best-route-planning-software-for-deliveries
It's not free if it's in trial mode
i have a question , can my boss tracking my location with the app?
Depends on which Driver App your team users. If you use our native app that you download off the App Store or Google Play, the answer is yes. But if you're using our web-based Driver App that you use on our mobile browser, your boss only sees when & where you complete a stop; your live location isn't shared.
Did anyone try yet? How was it
that's awesome!! 🤩
Thanks! 😁
Rubbish app cannot re route and can't unlock
I am looking for a routing app that I can upload stop numbers for drivers references. Please let me know if u are aware of anything like this.
does it work in mexico and does it have spanish language built in?
Hello Alan! Yes, Routific works in Mexico! Our Routific Driver App can also be changed to Spanish, however our dispatcher account is currently english only.
This is a very great video. Thank you for all the insights. I do have a question tho, which tool is functioning perfectly with GPS devices?
Hi, we don't want to claim anything is "best", but based on our tests MyRouteOnline might work for you (you can read more in our blog post: blog.routific.com/best-route-planning-software-for-deliveries )
Really helpful, thank you.
You're welcome!
What app can combine land transport with water transport? I need this for my final
Generally good intro. A need for the background beat?
This video is called Best Free Route Planning Software With UNLIMITED Stops. And this whole video never mentions a single software with unlimited stops.
there pushing there own software, i git it but it works for simple planning with not breaks, lunch ext.
Thanks for watching, guys! think we’ve been very transparent throughout the video about what software you can try out. From our research, there are limitations to the free apps. That’s just the reality of what is out there.
@@Routificso not unlimited stops, unlike what the clickbait title reads?
hi sir how to combine this to flutter ?
Love to use Routific!
Will your program be able to make a single optimized route with 744 stops?
Yes! We can optimize up to 5000 stops.
Are they worldwide applicable? Or any? I dont live in the US
