I crate Athena cause it's more comfortable for her I think. Never done it with willow although I should. Now I have an extra crate so I can actually do it loll
Most of the time yes, I find it safer if something were to happen I wanna get some crash proof crates rn I just have some travel crates But in my dads truck they ride in the bed or just in the backseat
