you could see the distraught in Kratos face, the shame that he back into his old self again, as he killed heimdallr/heimdall, he did try to warn him to stop the combat and walk away, but in the end Heimdallr/Heimdall's arrogant and foolishness is what sealed his fate.

Heimdall really did this to himself lets be real. Kratos gave him a chance to walk away and with a spear in his arm still threatened Atreus. Not much more could've been done.

Honestly, Heimdall got off super easy compared to the gods in the Greek pantheon, *espescially* considering he threatened to gut Kratos' son. Dude would've probably gotten the Poseidon treatment, had he dealt with a younger Kratos. No warnings, either. The moment he gets pinned to the wall, it'd be lights out for him.

Fight's impressive, but... are you really going to tell me that gods can lose limbs like it's no one's business but 5 seconds with crushed windpipe will kill them?

I love that I get to point this out again. the Norns said "you will learn that heimdall plans to kill your son and then you will do what you do best." but the thing is is that Heimdall didn't start with that notion and only gained it after getting impaled to a wall, with which then he goes and says he'll kill Atreus, which is the first time we hear him say he plans to kill him and then Kratos kills him for it. beforehand the prophecy was nothing more but pre known information and they spent all that time making a weapon to kill Heimdall for something that he hadn't even considered doing yet until this fight started. But essentially Kratos never learned that Heimdall was planning to kill his son until this fight came to pass, and only after hearing that did he turn to killing him on the spot. Prophecy fulfilled.
