I'm from Barcelona, though currently living in the UK. I've been following the new rent laws, and it's interesting to hear how it went down for you. Though I think the lawyer was on the right on this one. Landords have been making us pay for the agency's fee for years. Now that the law has passed they are still trying, because not everyone knows about it. It was really smart to get a lawyer from the beginning. But next time, don't feel that bad about it. You guys had been in the legal. And for morally, it helps that they would stop those practices on the next people. Keep safe.

I really hope so cos all my colleagues who’s expats basically gave in and paid the fees which is not helping the situation moving forward 🥲 but it was a really stressful time and process dealing with them for sure!! Hello! i always read the outline/ summary first and make sure to use AI prompts such as give me each chapter’s summary and bulletpoints etc but overall I’m a fast reader so i skimmed thru literature very fast, still i wouldn’t read everything, do note taking for quotes and paraphrase that show your efforts when writing essays would be important!!
