Hello everyone and welcome to Jaja Bakes. My friends call me Jaja. I created this website where I write, cook, and take pictures at my home in Jakarta, Indonesia. Food is one of my biggest joy in life and the reason I started cooking. I am always curious to try new things and dream to discover the various food around the world in my little kitchen.
Growing up, I started to learn the importance of making a wide variety of food for my health. I try to cook things that are practical, interesting, and most importantly delicious. One of the reasons I started food blogging is to share my love of cooking and baking. Most of my friends don’t cook and tend to eat outside because they don’t know where to learn cooking. - 3 tbsp (30 gr) castor sugar
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Sweet Ginger Soup
- 4 cups (1 litre) water
- 4 inch (50 gr) ginger
- 4 pandan leaves
- 2 tbsp (25 gr) brown sugar
- 6 tbsp (75 gr) granulated/castor sugar
Glutinous Rice Balls
- 1 1/4 cups (150 gr) glutinous rice flour
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) warm water, more or less

- 10 cm (50 gr) jahe
- 4 daun pandan
- 2 sdm (25 gr) brown sugar

Bola ketan onde

@@Someone-vn9ce hello, I think you can store these cookies for up to a week in an airtight container. Add a food grade silica gel if you have one to keep them crispy.

Should we turn on the oven up and down together?
What's the reason to keep it in the fridge for long time before baking?
As the dough chills, it gradually dries out, concentrating the flavors of all the ingredients and when the cookies are baked, they spread less. I have experimented with chilling them for 1 vs 3 days and the 1-day cookies are flat and lack the depth of flavor compared to the 3-day cookies.

I think you can't substitute the sugar because it helps aerating the batter (egg whites). Without the proper aeration, the cake will be dense.

The original viral cheesetart from queic by olivia sg did have blue cheese in it. Not sure about camembert tho.

@skyestarler3593 yes, you can do that and reduce the baking time. Bake until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean

@@Almostkoy I used 8-inch tart pan, but you can also use 9-inch tart pan. There will be excess tart dough and filling. You can use them for mini tarts. For the baking time for the mini tarts, please go to my website jajabakes.com/burnt-cheese-tart/

@@javivera9430 no need. The whipped egg whites are the key in this recipe. They aerate the batter and make the cake fluffy. Just make sure not to overmix the batter or you will lose the air.
