I managed to beat the game in insanity. I was mostly concerned with few missions with husk waves but It was way easier than I expected with the sentinel.

I am restarting ni no kuni on the switch. I originally played on PS3. I try to play mostly blind my first playthrough, and man I got stuck on the final boss. Had to grind try again grind. This time I am beating the game.

I got to the very last set with my original familiars from the beginning.. But could not finish till i just added One Catasroceros then i beat it

i beat everything up until the end with my first familiars.. only thing i couldnt do was get S rank at the arena thing other than that i beat everything else easily

The third form of the Mitey Mite is a little mediocre, I gave him a soldier's sword which helped a little bit but I still regret evolving him.

I played wraith of the white witch. I loved it so much I binge played the entire game over a span of months, the story really touched me. Reminded me a lot of spiritfarier which I recommend. Honestly these two are my favorite . I got the 2nd game for Christmas and plan on trying it out

I find it funny one of your parties includes Angela as main with Kevin and Charlotte because that will be my party for the third playthrough. Making a gap in case of spoilers. Angela and Kevin were my second companions on the previous and current run, and after seeing how Charlotte acts when not in the party, I am curious how it'll go with her as the second companion.

The thing i wished i remember from older runs is that there are food recipes pages given by regular npcs in towns, so, unmarked in light blue like quest givers/interactions. Talk to EVERYBODY. crafting familiars food from the anything goes option with constant trips back to the book are annoying (with the page you can craft multiples, and the weird thing is they give you a page you can already consult in the book lol)

I'm returning to Ni No Kuni after a long break. I had gotten stuck at Glittering Grotto and put the game down for about a year or so. Im watching/listening to your playthrough to refresh myself on the story. Just wanted to let you know your videos are still helping people two years later lol

Evermore prevents me from replaying the game tbh. The amount of management already de motivates just thinking of it.

The duck in the temple is a solid choice too because the wild ones seems harder to catch than other critters in that area. And you can get a good healer there, the owl one. It learns an aoe sleep attack later on and can use its magic attack. You also make a Derwin quest easier later on.

The purrloin line has to be the best toko hunters. I picked the eye patch one because it looks cooler, and it is Toko's bane. Hits hard, fast and is precise af Give him his best physical attack and make sure the leads of the others are slower and you annihilate the xp totoros

How do I get the last two items

This game is a solid 6.5 out of 10. I don't know how people say this was a masterpiece.

That orca thingy in the ding dong sewer is a worthy mention. Insane attack and defenses stats (physical and magic) on par with eachother. Also has a bonkers gold orb attack, if you can snatch it before the other character

The naiad is perfect on Swaine until you get 4th character. Yoi'll likely play swaine with a tank like monolith line or those chonky robots, so with the latter he mostly keeps aggro while saving mp, making naiad a great switch in in case of problems

Zero to start was my error in previous attempts. There was no solution to that first puzzle until you start with zero not 1. Thanks for clarifying

My favourite part of the game was the beast collection. I would like them to add more ways to interact with the beasts in the next game. Also I want the ability to add more beast species to one environment. The beasts should interact with each other as well Also I want them to add the option to get an owl, mouse or cat and the ability to customise them I like animals😂

This game is a masterpiece..., the retro-modern graphics , the gameplay, everything is amazing. My only complaint ( and that's being nitpicky) would be the optional boss, he has, Imho, the key for the lore in Octopath, if you dont defeat him, you missing a brutal info about the story. so, that boss should be mandatory / regular, no optional. Fun theory! I do want to point out though that in Shadar's backstory flashback we do see what he used to look like and he's literally Oliver as an adult lol. It's easy to forget when looking at the Dark Djinn's face though, since at that point he does look completely different. Shadar's past self much more closely resembles Oliver both in physical appearance and disposition though, so I feel like it's pretty safe to just go with the canon and accept him as Oliver's soul mate.

I'm playing Octopath Traveler and have found it very entertaining. I like the modernized pixel graphics, individual story lines, and game mechanics. There are so many characters to choose from but I would suggest a thief or healer type to start with. This will help avoid what is known as multi-classing your starting character. I started with the hunter, Haanit I believe it's spelled like, and although she is formidable in battle she is my starting character now. I put many hours of level grinding into her before realizing she is a permanent member of the party. Thankfully there are shrines to each class though which allow one to "multi-class" . However you start out like you're just starting again, uhg! The thief, Therion, is amazing while walking around in towns. You can steal so many valuable items from the townsfolk! Teehee! Also there are chests throughout lands which only a thief can open! I personally feel Ophilia is a major asset to any party, even as the main character of choice. I have won many near impossible battles thanks to her healing and revival spells.
