Cara Delevingne is a Victoria's Secret model who one day heard someone tell her that she was an actress and to this day she doesn't seem to have understood that she was a joke. This film itself is already the most boring and uninteresting mess possible and the performance of its two protagonists only enhances this.

it had potential. its just bad screenplay, shit marketing and whoever the casting director is needs to be fired. dane is a good actor, but not for this film.
@@user-hf4qy3mt6z that and Cara to be honest. She’s an excellent model by no doubt and I do appreciate her branching into other professions. But a model has to keep a still expression while an actress is expected to express a whole array of emotions which makes being both an difficult because they’re different mediums with opposing expectations.
I don’t hate the movie personally, in fact it’s actually a really good premise and a lot of the design choices are very pleasing. But it’s also plagued with some questionable choices at the same time. I think Valerian is a charming movie with the potential to be something cooler. No worries though, my favourite movie is 9 and I totally understand people not seeing the same beauty in it as I do but also recognise that it has faults.
People are harsh critics.
Because every one is a studied movie critic and can't just fkn enjoy the movie. We all know it wasn't supposed to win awards.

I haven't read or seen the animated stuff, but laureline is just an epic icon of elegance. idk if it's cara delevigne's inner elegance exuding or laureline is written like that, but she's absolutely epic. I felt that the chemistry between the two characters was kinda vomited on the viewer instead of easing it in organically, but by the end of the movie I bought into it and on a second rewatch I just went awww. I absolutely love this movie, and I rewatch it at least once a year 🧡
