I’d love to see your one second 0-60. EDIT My bad I miss read that lol I actually do hit 60 in second. The stock mechanical speedo lags behind the true speed of the car but according to my draggy I hit 60 in 2nd as well.

@@NatVirgo all the e153s that came in mr2s have the same ratio you. So unless your trans came out of a different car they’re the same. You might just rev your engine higher than I did here which would give you more speed with the same gearing.

I have on my 14psi pump gas tune. The car doesn’t 60ft well so the best I got was 13.5 @108

My front tire is also extremely dry rotted and it's cupping really bad. I'm swapping that now. I didn't even notice. So make sure your s*** is perfect if you're going to attempt top speeds.

@@shenaniganshop3309 so how much psi would you say is safe? i will be driving it probably every day.

@@abundantcat7448 you more so want be be worried about not exceeding 240-250 ft lbs of torque. The stock rods are the weak point of the motor and will fail around that torque level. But in general 12-14 psi is considered safe with a good tune. Since you’d be daily driving it I’d go closer to 12 and make sure you have a reputable tuner tune the car.

The engine is completely stock so whatever the oem gap is.

@@chevybarboza not really, I’m obviously on a stock ring gap and my car has been boosted going on 4 years now running as much as 20 psi. The stock oil pump and rotating assembly will become a problem long before the stock ring gap. So unless you’re upgrading those I wouldn’t worry about it.
