Flying from Twin Oaks Base to the Cuboctahedron Base - 7 Days to Die 2024 01 22
Flying from my mountaintop base down to my Cuboctahedron (basically a Cube and Octahedron combined) base in the south and a short tour of the inside. This thing was such a pleasure to build and I didn't think it would actually work, so I practiced in the forest biome with wooden frames to see if it would be feasible before starting somewhere else. Anyway, after finding somewhere to build, I got exactly to the half way point (middle floor) and came across the dreaded red blocks (6 in total) and had upgraded to concrete to see if it would help... not a chance!
I that it knew it would need some support columns but four just wasn't enough, so I stood on one of the columns and placed one frame to test it and the whole thing collapsed around me lol.
All that remained were the 4columns and the bottom section that was sitting in the plinth that had to be there to hold the entire structure.
Luckily I had saved the game, beforehand so I didn't have to rebuild from the collapse point. I ended up having to place more columns to support the middle floor, and it worked. I still find it hard to believe I managed to complete this one and the shape of it is gorgeous.
This base hasn't been fully tested yet and was built partly in creative mode. I still grind for resources but I often grab what I need like food and setting up defenses just to keep building, rather than being distracted.

This build has 4 sledge turrets on platforms around the top facing inwards to hopefully knock the Zeds into the hole and down into the pit where get all manner of suitable treatments for their unfortunate condition. One of my latest Pyramid builds where I fight the Zed's on a Blood Moon from a catwalk, shooting and throwing Molotov's into the surrounding trench lined with barbed wire and electric fences. The Zed's are getting very tough now, so things didn't quite work out as planned. They did so much damage that I had to make a desperate run for it... in the wrong direction!

The final end of my base after defending and repairing it for five or six blood moons. After my base finally collapsed, I tried to escape through a gap in the wall near the army truck but forgot that I have blocked it off and got trapped by my own defenses lol but I somehow managed to run and fight my way past the growing zombie crowd and made a dash for another exit but didn't get very far bef...

My first landing in a Spitfire, although I landed heavily and half broke my landing gear, I call it a success. As you can see, it was foggy and difficult to line up with runway. I was lucky that time! :)

Thanks. Although I still occasionally hear them, they are less than when I recorded the video. Recent bushfires and now large hail may have had an effect on their numbers.

You're almost there mate. Don't stop! Weird thing is, for the last 7 or 8 months ALL I've been listening to is Jazz. Can't get enough of it. Miles Davis used to miss out notes and half-valve notes - you're just ahead of the curve!!! AS for the Pooch - everyone's a critic! :) PS - have a great 2020.
Hi Jeff, thanks mate... life... it's all a work in progress. I keep discovering new ways to play this thing called life. Love the Clarinet and the Jazz too but I'm surrounded by different musical tastes (mostly country) that doesn't really include much Jazz. I've actually been jamming a lot to 'Psychill Ambient' stuff. It repeats but it's not too repetitive (every Jazz players nightmare) and allows me to practice my scales. Some of the places it carries me away to... I really must record more. It's good to see you still doing your thing Jeff, who knows what 'all that Jazz' will bring out next. :) I've never learned to read music and the one thing I have learned from that is that as long as I know my scales and my way around them, the rest follows/flows. I'm looking at buying one of those (don't know the name) 'loop synthesizer' things that records a bar, repeats and then you record another bar over the top and build upon it. It's funny though, I've been having stage fright issues for a couple of years now, so the way I intend fixing that is to actually play better. I think not doing so was one cause of my issues in the first place. The rest are best left unsaid. ;) Lily loves to sing and she's my best critic. Have a great New Year old mate.
To Epicuros: I ‘m so thankful for your work. I have spent a significant amount of time with many of them, but especially, this piece. Many of your tracks have become the soundtrack to my work. I am a pastor of a church and I’m a missionary to my community. This track has been used during my times of prayer, meditation, reflection, study, and contemplation. Therefore, it has become very important to me. Although, I have seen the artwork to this video many times, it wasn’t until just the other day I noticed how much it lines up with what I do. You see, my mission is to remind people that our time on earth is limited. Therefore, the decisions we’re making here will effect where we spend eternity. I love how this work of art captures that. My question to you is: did you do this visual art piece too? Do you own the rites to it? I wanted to ask, because I would love to have it printed on my front bass drum head. Yeah I'm pretty sure about that. I've seen and heard Dingoes many times around this area over the last 22yrs and since a Yowie is only folklore, I would say the chances are slim.
