Jennifer Jones, Robert Walker, and David O. Selznick Part 2
Part One: th-cam.com/video/G5nBuRMJTjs/w-d-xo.html
In a town full of scandal and heartbreak, Hollywood has rarely seen a more tragic love triangle than Jennifer Jones, David O. Selznick, and Robert Walker. Walker and Jones’ marriage didn’t stand a chance against the all-powerful David O. Selznick. Once the producer set his sights on the “girl with the big eyes,” Jennifer would be consumed by Selznick and his unrelenting vision. Though she reached great heights as a star under Selznick’s thumb, she and her husband would pay a terrible price. Robert Walker would never recover from his wife’s betrayal, and the fallout would haunt Jennifer for the rest of her life.

My favorite film is Portrait of Jenny. I always wondered what happened to her. Sad.
Thanks for watching!
A very sad story.
Agreed :(
Dore Schary's name was pronounced "Dorie."
Didn't know that, thanks.
I cried when bob died. So messed up.
I know. It is very tragic.
Jennifer was part of David's roster of natural looking actresses starting with Vivien Leigh and followed by Ingrid Bergman. The catalyst being Vivien's makeup and hair had to reflect the period of the Civil War in Gone With the Wind.❤
Very interesting, thanks for watching!
@@affairarchivistVery good research in this video. Please feature Ingrid Bergman's and Vivien Leigh's marriages too. ❤

David was enthusiastic, bombastic and talented. It was a mistake to get involved with Jennifer. I think her life with him was unhappy. Generally I think she lived a miserable life.
I agree; due to the times, I don't think she would have had a career if she rejected Selznick's advances, yet it all came at a huge personal cost to Jennifer.
@@affairarchivistI read her biography and have her autograph. I attended the 1998 Oscars and she was there! Jennifer was so beautiful. And as a teen I had a crush on Selznick. That was during my Gone with the Wind phase. 😊
What about David O Selznicks bad behavior and misconduct!
Hi, I covered this more in Part 1, if you are interested in watching it is my second most recent upload.
Fascinating! Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Please note: I made an error at 2:16; I meant to say Caroline Astor, not Mary.
Crazy story! Love the tea about the parties and social climbing
Yes it is an unbelievable and entertaining tale.
