Daniel Valencia He never said he was from a tribe. That's a stereotype to assume all amerindians are from a tribe. As a kichwa, first off we use indigenous communities, not tribes, I know many that say they are inca because we speak a quechua based language, it is just a simplified term. A lot of mexicans claim to be latin but I doubt they are from the latin tribe of rome. The gypsies in spain been calling themselves only gypsies and never latin and have known spanish longer than a mestizo. A lot of yall politically correct indigenous terms but never correct la raza for claiming an italian aint latin.
Daniel Valencia I am kichwa and I use inca cuz its a broader term, so does my mom, not many know what kichwa is,(the spanish came up with kichwa) but Most use the word runa, and in kichwa it is runa llacta meaning comunidad indigena o pueblo indigena. Inca originally means king but in modern times its used poetically to refer to quechua speakers as children of the sun. Which originally was believed that the kings were from the sun.
