it sounds wrong because the recording is not in standard A=440. Try it in A=445hz

Sorry, but to me your tone has way too many mids, and not enough highs to get that really crisp and cutting sound. Yours sounds muffled compared to the real one. Nice try though

I saw Thrice back in November. The issues in recreating Dustin's tone is the uniqueness of it. At one time he used a Variax equipped guitar through the Helix Floor, so he models guitars through a modeler...Now he exclusively uses his signature MM guitar, which has some extremely unique wiring. I SO wish I could afford that guitar. He splits his signal into 2 inputs of the Helix...so he's essentially playing 2 guitars at one time....sorta. Still....I like what you're doing, very ambitious.
