In the winter time it’s used as a football stadium
It's an outdoor stadium, it's British Summertime, it's in a city with noise curfews.
I will be heartbroken when the last game is played there. I had my own spot for a few decades. It was about 25-30 feet from the boys pen and about 25-30 steps from the little buffet bar in the corner of the street end. Many great times and a few nervous times. Onwards and upwards we go. COYBs.
Totally agree that last day of the season is gonna be a killer tbh.
I'm seeing her in Cardiff this Tuesday, can't wait 😊

It's when it's compared to The new stadium you realise how small it is....but Goodison Park is so special to me...💙 I'm 75 now and my early years of standing in the "Street end" and watching the Blues run out to Z CARS ...always sent shivers down my spine...(and still does)...I love that place..💙
Goodison is so compact as a stadium, and the surroundings are very close which is why we needed to move unfortunatly

Tense emotions, stressful but I was buzzing after 90 mins.

A great night for all True Blues and one we had waited 14 years for. All the sweeter for that terrible hiatus. Let's hope it's the start of a new era at EFC, one in which we no longer live in the shadow of our rivals from across Stanley Park.

I am sure that the new ground will be a great success bearing in mind the style and location. But I will always resent previous boards of directors who ran the club in a amateur way that prevented Goodison being modernised over the last 30/40 years. I will be heartbroken when the last game is played at the grand old place.😢
Hard to modernise with what’s around the ground I guess but I agree. So many memory’s from this place both good and bad, being taken there by my dad for my first game and remembering my dads last game there to.
