direct catch from the sea to your table, no in-betweens, no ATM, no bank account needed. Simple and very cheap quality of life. Polution , pesticide, hormones free fishes.

Pretty laid back place, life here stops in the 70's, not much development not so much BS in life, just emerse yourself, and it brings back your high school days. You can buy very, very fresh fish, direct from the small time fishermen for Pesos 200.00 a kilo, ,that is less than 5 American bucks.and you can grill it yourself right in the beach, not much BS regulations, as long as you clean up aft...

Just bought a 1987 Stryker and have this same control box with a mercury 850. Is there a kill switch with this? The previous owner may have installed a regular kill switch on boat and now the motor only cranks but won't turn over. Can anyone help?
I have the same Mercontrol from a 50hp Mercury I bought but it seems stuck in forward. Forward works perfectly and the cable moves at the outboard end, but I'm unable to move it to neutral. I opened it up and checked if I saw something unusual but didn't notice anything on first sight. Anyone that has had similar problems or just knows how to fix it?

misleading title. You did not disassemble anything. You split it open and put it back together. p.s., the reason your mercontrol doesn't have any snap going into and out of neutral, is because you lost the neutral detent pin. bait and switch...big time.

ok...question...full throttle on these...is it 90 degrees forward or does it go a little more
this is my problem to lol, there is 3/4th of travel that doesn't pick up speed, 90 degrees its humming but I know theres more punch to it,,, I took the throttle apart and notice the rocker arm the brass piece fits into has a lot of distance before it moves the throttle cable
Yes, the throttle goes past 90° forward, like 110° if that makes sense.

mate i cant get that brass bush to locate when I try put the 2 sides back together is there a way to position the levers so it locates correctly?
try putting the plates on the other side then putting it together, should be ok to move the shifter arm to get the brass piece to fit

+Dom Phoebe As couple, we live on 5 American Bucks of fish a day. Paid off house, electric bill of $50 a month, no gas expense, we just walk. 10 American bucks a day, is all we need to survive the day. I don't know yours, but this is in the ball park.
