I didn’t make it up - I got my info from Griz and his twitch page so if you wanna whine take it up with his media team

@@zidayniointeresting theory my friend. I do have some more evidence to bring to the table here tho. Pretty crazy story, really thankful I got to experience this. But yeah I hopped in a random zoom room that was posted in the chat from this night and was chillin with like 10 people in there. Then after Griz’s set someone goes “is that Griz??” And sure enough there he was, straight VIBIN haha. He was able to field a few questions from us, and I actually asked him about the state of mind he was in when he made this song. He told me he made it while feeling a lil depressed which surprised me, but the way he talked about it made it seem like he made it himself. But now that I think about it, he still could have easily left the collab part out. And definitely would have if it was legit 🤔 just thought I’d share that haha

@@MrTrex54 Now that we know Derek is officially back, my guess is that he didn't want any evidence of what he's about to release. I've heard him doing the same thing with Menert...my guess is that this is a true PL x GRiZ collab

@zidaynio yeah but aren't clips on a Twitch page from other people who also name the clips themselves. Like it'll look like the streamer did it but clips on a person's page are from other people who clipped and titled it themselves

Been a PL fan since 2010... Saw him live in Chicago once at Spring Awakening. I was just thinking the same thing. He NEEDS to make a comeback!

@@wogdiddy4468 I’ve only had the chance to see him twice at Basslights in 2015 but it was a highlight out of all the shows I’ve seen, I wish I had gotten more opportunities to see him after that.. If he makes a comeback I’ll be there though!

There have been many other promising signs from band members over the years and at this point we just gotta be patient. But, in my mind, it is coming.... eventually

Griz uploaded this full live stream performance to his twitch over the pandemic and he also had certain parts clipped - this part was titled as Griz x PL in a clip but like only a few days after airing and posting to his official page, he scrubbed all evidence of it. Luckily i knew it was something special so i documented what i could. I can't say with 100% certainty that this is PL but its what Griz said it was on his twitch page and it most definitely has that classic PL sound

@@TheComedyShaman well you probably shouldn't assume that. I think he left the music scene. The last song he released was on Tom Morellos album in 2018and the last show was at Red Rocks 2018. I don't think he is coming back.

It's not just the synth that is PL's, it's also the cadence that it comes with. If this is all griz, that's amazing.

I've been begging for a comeback. I'm painfully aware of those works. You're probably right, griz has been consistently elevating his game, even if his best albums were arguably quite some time ago.
