@d3customs386 I was looking at those tires and it appears they say "not for highway service" on them. How do those meet the criteria of a DOT approved tire?
These tires were not DOT tires, as we were waiting for them at the time of the video. You do in fact need DOT tires for the inspection.
Might as well drive the truck .
Can't take a truck on 50" trails.. nor a Jeep.
@@captseamus I don't need to be street legal to ride on trail.
@@richardrussell568many National Forest trails in Michigan require a plates and insurance. The DNR will be very happy if you do not have them.. About $200 a ticket last I heard.

What kind of tires do you have on there ?
the form says "Bumpers (required on passenger vehicles, 14 to 22 inches above the ground EXCEPT 4-WHEEL DRIVE)". if the vehicle is 4-wheel drive, does this mean you could get away without a rear bumper?
It’s confusing the way it reads, but you definitely need a rear bumper.
I was told the wiper and washer had to be electric powered. 4-way flashers also required.

What have you found for insurance in Michigan?
I have Michigan State Farm for all insurance. My agent sent quote for a 2022 Intimidator GC1K Truck. It's quoted as a motorcycle, my cost would be $97.00 a month for full coverage. Other peeps rate may be different, I've had all my insurance with State Farm for 40 years, I get multi policy discount and other discounts.
I have Geico Insurance. Full coverage $93.54 @ month. 2019 RZR 900 EPS TRAIL "50". MICHIGAN TITLED as "Assembled Pickup". Full size car/truck license plate. NO INTERSTATES!
We recommend the Kevin Condon State Farm agency, they have been great!
