I'm Matrixsean, I have a long history of playing card games, and am super excited to delve into Lorcana! I am often accompanied by my wonderful wife and sweet kitten (Belle)! I love the idea on updating a starter deck because it helps to keep the budget down with this crazy prices. But the recommendation I have is to maybe provide a link also to the upgrade deck list.

What app do you use for the lore tracking?
I use the official lorcana companion app! It has all the cards (except enchanted) as well. Even let's you create deck lists and track your collection!

You can't quest after readying a character with Shield Of Virtue
That is correct. When I was referring to Flynn "questing again" I meant readying him, so that he lives to quest again next turn. Good catch!
I like your Tiana idea. I think an "I have no hand" deck focusing on Tiana might not be too bad! I wasn't sold on her initially but I'm warming up to her. I mean, Resist +2 is already really powerful.
Yes, I feel like she's going to ruin people's day. Quest early when she can't be removed, then just keep her ready late so your opponent can't remove her! You'll make them play your game, where only you get actions.

It's a solid budget option for sure! It can be a pseudo Maui of sorts. But some cards are just meant to be collected!
I’m exited for new expansion I hope they release item removal for other colors, i think one of the reason purple red so strong is the lack of item removal in general

I agree, I think she sat on giant tink for too long. She is still learning, this is her first ever card game. She's been getting better every time we play!
Looks like you had about 2 boxes worth of packs? I am kinda stuck and had to buy singles because I was only able to get 1 box.
Yes, we used the two boxes from our double box opening challenge. It's definitely rough right now. Every store I've gone to either never got product or sold out. We were able to snag a gift set and a few packs, though, which was nice!
@@matrixsean I spent 350 on singles and got just about the rest of the set minus the 4-6 expensive legendary / super rare. Going to just pay another 200-400 to complete the master set when the next round gets released and those prices drop back down some.

It happens. Once you build decks, there's definitely a learning process.
In the tournament I was told from dice rolling, it’s not a choice. If you win you go first, not get to choose. Idk just what I was told
In the quick start guide, it just says, "determine the first player by flipping a coin or rolling a die." At the official starter deck tournament, the winner of the dice roll just chose first or second. I don't know if there is a 100% "official" way yet.
Nothing like watching yourself get absolutely waaaxxed in 3rd person. But at least I looked cute doing it ✨️~ I really did enjoy playing though and I'm only a little salty
