Alligators at Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve
The most common question I hear asked at the preserve is... Have you seen any alligators? This was filmed October 10th 2023 by @mkphotos81 on my Canon R5 camera.

Limpkin Finds a Snack

Limpkins are a tropical wetland bird. I found this one in a pond in Fort Myers Florida as it searched for a meal. These birds are extremely loud at times as they use their long looping windpipes to mark their territory. See more Limkins on my Instagram @mkphotos81

Chimney Swifts are flying by the thousands in this one minute video, they were flying into this chimney for over thirty minutes. Could possibly be over a hundred thousand roosting in this chimney built approximately 1901

Watch until they dance towards the end of this short video. This is from the small town of Commerce Township thirty minutes Northwest of Detroit. Sandhill Cranes don't do this very often but what a treat when they do. Fun Fact, Sandhill Cranes can live for over thirty years. The oldest banded Sandhill Crane lived for Thirty-seven years and three months.

Interesting video. I wouldn't have guessed they ate rodents. Didn't really know what Sandhill Cranes ate to be honest.
I'm not sure they ate it and I've saw one with a fish once, I honestly thing they are more vegetarian.
