I am a certified PADI Rescue Diver. I am NOT great at video, but am trying to get some shots when I can. Videos are all shot on GoPros. Some old, some new. I hope you enjoy the videos, and if it helps you get interested in scuba diving that is awesome!
Cayman Brac - End of Island - Pt 5 - HUNDREDS OF FISH!
A couple of French Angels at the start with a Grouper as well. Lots of fish at the end of this dive! Tons of the BLUES! And the Yellow Tails and Grunts are abundant! We are under the boat and looking for a SeaHorse. Rozie said there has been one seen here, but we didn't find it. Still a great chance too look at the soft corals! And at the end there is just a STUPID amount of fish. Pick a species, it is there! Yellow Tail, Grunts, Black Durgons. HUNDREDS OF FISH!!
And this is last dive of the trip. Sad.
Can't wait to go back the Brac in September!

HUGE Barrel Sponge at the start. Then a STINGRAY gives a fly by! And then ANOTHER STINGRAY comes by with his advantageous buddies. Then we head back up to the top of the reef to a LARGE stand of PILLAR CORAL! It took some damage in the summer of 2023 when the water temps got too high. Parts are looking OK, but there is obvious damage. #caymanbrac #scuba #reefdivers

Decided to wait on Rozie to lead the dive instead of doing or own thing. The first thing we see is a Caribbean Trumpet fish! Then on to nice school of snappers and grunts and a parrot fish or two! My buddy and I drop in first and wait on the rest of the group to get in so we can dive with dive guide Rozie this time. Tons of fish on the way back to the boat. I find a fallen Gorgonian Fan and when I flip it over there is a nice Flamingo Tongue! Then back to the edge of the wall for one last look. On our way back we find our friendly Grouper among tons of fish! Just looking around until we have to go back to the boat at the end. #caymanbrac #scuba #reefdivers

There are tons of great sponges and fish along this wall. We are slowly making our way back up along the wall passing some other swim throughs and sand shoots. Off the boat and down to our swim trough to the actual wall. There is a nice sized barracuda before we make the turn down the chute. This swim through is ABSOLUTLEY AMAZING! After checking out the views while we make our way through, we take the top exit which puts us at 100 feet of depth. Towards the end of the dive, I'm not real sure what the guy in front of me is doing, but Rozie finds a nice Channel Crab and gives me the hand signal. It is a quick shot, but I wanted to get out of the way to let others see. Then we have a nice Stingray give us a nice view swimming back to the boat! #caymanbrac #scuba #reefdivers

Diving with Rozie again, and we are cruising around a nice coral head that has some amazing growth. There is a Parrot Fish doing acrobatics and then Rozie gives the sign ... we run into not one but TWO SOUTHERN STINGRAYS! These videos are important time-captures of the state of Caribbean coral reefs. Please edit your video description to add the dates of the footage -- someone may use these in a scientific study in the future. Sad to see that there is no live hard coral left. Sponges and gorgonians seem to be fine. Compare with 2017 at Bloody Bay close by on Little Cayman: th-cam.com/video/AElXSYY3Ia8/w-d-xo.html Things were already pretty bad 7 years ago....

I'm sorry you don't like my videos. Maybe it was just this one? I couldn't hold the camera in a place so that you could see what I was actually doing underwater. It took two hands to get my dive buddy's weight system secured and the camera was just flopping around. If you look closely, he was struggling to get back down to his dropped weights. This is a dangerous situation and could lead to an uncontrolled ascent to the surface late in the dive when we are dealing with trying to off gas the nitrogen that has built up in our bodies. We did hit around 115 feet of depth on this dive. Scuba tanks will get positively buoyant as they lose air. It was important that we got him situated with his weights, and his dive gear setup is a little more difficult to deal with then just stuffing weights in a pocket. I hope that explains a bit of the chaos of the video.

Im sorry but this is rather boring...it all looks the same and no fish.
I'm sorry you found this video boring. Wall dives, for me, are more about being in open space. On one side is the wall, and the other side could be 6000 feet of deep blue. It is peaceful to me. That said, you are right that there don't seem to be that many fish. You will find a lot more fish in just 40 feet of water as apposed to 100 feet of water. I encourage you to look around my channel a bit more. There are a lot of other "fishy" types of videos! Thanks for watching!
Amazing video! It's so great that you share your love for the ocean. Scuba diving is such an amazing water activity and it's lovely to see you enjoy it, keep going with these great videos. If it doesn't bother you, I'd like to give you a suggestion, a tip for the next videos: Basically, you could try inserting some comic and funny stuff... to give everyone a pinch of humor that, in the world of diving, can never be missing. Now, I don't think much of it, but the first thing I could think of in your sport might be peeing in the water. Once, my uncle, who is a scuba diver, peed in his wetsuit during a long diving session and that moment was absolutely funny, he even wrote "I’m peeing" on a waterproof notebook during the session and he showed it to me while he was doing it. He has always been telling me that there are 2 types of divers and swimmers: those who pee in the water and those who lie. I know it may sound strange as a request but, in my opinion, these are moments of happiness and carefree that always make everyone smile, that's why it'd be hilarious if you included lots of moments like this, if you and your diving mates want of course. I hope you like the idea and I hope you have a wonderful day! 💛

It was a thing for sure. My dive bud and I are fortunate enough that the staff knows that we have been there enough times that we know the dive sites and they don't mind us doing our own dive plan. So, this has been less common as of late. Thanks for the comment!
