Thanks for watching! It would be nice to get an in game reward for solo completion but Devs typically don't reward solo runs in co-op games.
I pray they allow us to eventually be able to edit weapon colors.

Lethal is a difficulty that should be approached with every covert, overt and retreat strategy in mind, and those that wish to engage everyone they come across will certainly meet their demise more times than not.
Especially when running solo. Only fight when you have to . Reach objectives as fast as possible.

That is strange . Try signing out then sign back in. If you still don't have it. Report to the Devs on twitter and the forums.
I lost my progress as soon as i claimed it
do you have the skin now? once you claim it the progress should not matter.
@Jack2505_ ahh my mistake I wasn't clear, yeah I got the skin but my character progress on my tactical marine was all lost, I've not played much but I did the 10 ops on him and he's level 1 again, down from 9
that is strange, if you have lost character progression I suggest reporting this to the devs asap as this is a serious situation to avoid this happening again the the future.
@@Jack2505_ yeah I've emailed and gone on twitter, apparently it's a thing that's been happening since launch and they've not fixed it, it's annoying as I was going to get the season pass as I'm enjoying it but if there's a chance that my progress can be lost again I'm not going to

I’m going with block now for hammer chain sword and knife the stats are just all around better plus the bonus damage is great on high difficulty’s for me
Good stuff. The bonus damage is good, I loved it with the knife.
They have noticed that lethal is unplayable because it looks like dark souls resin with Warhammer models, where your power armour is absolutely worthless and you play like naked. So they came with brilliant solutions - adding yet "hArDeR" difficulty where it is only made hard by giving enemies more HP so hormagaunt on hardest will soon have more HP than carnifex on easy XD This will surely make players go back to the game XD And this Salamander skin... Luckily I'm not Salamanders, but I imagine they are, hehe, 🔥BURNING🔥 now, especially that there is so many chapters to give them scout and it would be great. But they made salamander scout. WITHOUT flamer. But you have flames on sniper rifle XD Gosh if I was Salamander fan I'd sue them XD
lethal was made easier by removing "tight formation" months ago, also lethal is nothing like dark souls and has even been completed solo by players. armor can be earned by parrying and gunstrike. if you are finding lethal difficulty. feel free to join me in lethal operations live on youtube
So how do we get the sword if the system is bugged??
It has been fixed.. my latest video explains this. When you log back into the game the sword skin will be available. Also log into your pros account to check your progress.
Can i ask why not resurrect team members perk?
rejuvenating effect is good, at times i prefer not to use it to revive because there can be times when you use it to pick someone up but no further chance to gain more health. it is good for clutch situations and if the team is struggling. however the other options to do more damage or take less damage whilst on the banner can also be helpful.

You get by completing 10 operation missions in space marine 2, and it turns out that the sword is the same chainsword from the first space marine game
Got the skin after creating a PROS account. They had counted the missions I had done before registering within the start date so I got the skin right away. Really like it and I hope they do more along with more twitch drops.
That's good it counted operations you did before. More of these events are welcomed!
The day they drop a horde mode dlc/ update. Would make this my alltime favorite game
and lets hope the horde mode is good, full of action and imagination, so many games have done horde in a very forgetful way.. gears of war are still the kings of horde but lets hope sm2 can match it and make it memorable!
My personal take on how to instantly improve blocking, (and having it be a fun lore tidbit); a new perk for all melee based characters, (assault, vanguard, bulwark), called "Belisarian Furnace". In lore the Belisarian Furnace is one of the 22 organs implanted in the Primaris Marines. It is attached to their twin hearts, and is dormant until the marine is under extreme stress and physical trauma. When activating it releases a cocktail of super stims that both amp up the marine's combat capability and heals a huge amount of trauma/wounds. Make it something like "when taking damage that would be lethal while blocking, receive 25% contested health, increased melee damage + attack speed for 5 seconds". For balancing and lore purposes the cooldown would have to be pretty significant. Maybe make it so that it wont activate again until youre fully healed, like the mortal wound mechanic that the game already has? Just spitballing :)
Interesting, I've always wanted a perk like that. ive just finished a lethal run with my heavy and he has a contested perk like that I think when firing in the stance he gets his health back, it would be good to have a perk like that. the more aggressive you are in melee combat the more you can survive, cooldown could be 30 seconds like that op tactical perk that allows players to spam grenades as long as the kill majoris enemies.
@@Jack2505_ yes exactly. Anything that rewards aggression, especially extreme aggression, because that's where Space Marines have always felt the most powerful. Plenty of examples of Space Marines being "literally too angry to die", let's make that a game mechanic 😂😂😂

Nah mate, colors are restricted for “lore accuracy”. I for one am fine with that. As a massive fan, I would hate to see this completely obvious Dark Angels set in Skittle Marine colors when playing online. I just wish they put some decorations on the top of the power pack, I don’t mean an Iron Halo either, two braziers like in the artwork they used for the promo on the season pass would’ve been sweet
You have your green colour already for lore accuracy. Why not have the option to change your own individual champion skin. When you are playing operations would it disturb your gameplay if you see a silver bulwark? As long as he has Warhammer gear on and putting that flag down.. that's all that matters.
Because the Dark Angels are green. End of conversation
and so what? so in a video game it can only be one colour? the devs need to make more colours available for these champion skins and I think they will going forward.

@monkeyswithshoes308 I want to have the option to change the colour. If people agree that's fine, if they don't that's also fine. Space marine 2 is more than just the so called die hard fans. If for eg you want to get it real with the lore and keep your dark angel green.. that's great. I want mine black and gold! Is that ok?
@ Honestly, yea. Because once you buy the tabletop dudes, you can paint them however you want. You can home brew successor chapters for example. Games Workshop has deep lore that it’s been very protective of, and the fan base often reflects that. That’s all I’m saying.
Dark angels aren't only green. Deathwing and ravenwing are bone and black, respectively.
It's ok that we can't mix and match it. Coloring would have been nice, but what bothers me most is that only the bulwark class got things that stand out. On release, operations were just flooded with bulwarks and you had to matchmake for ages to try it out. Other cosmetic additions were just too expensive to try out and still are. You burn through so many requisitions just to get 1 piece. And why not give all classes at least 1 weapon skin?
I felt that way about bulwarks until "tight formation" was removed.. then bulwark numbers in my games went down so I can mostly pick bulwark anytime I want. The fact that the champion skin is available in one colour is disappointing and I wish we had more flexibility around this.
Been messing with the block hammer and I think the damage is nice but like mentioned in the video I’m still not sure if it’s worth having less survivability, still gonna keep playing to see but it feels like if you get a few Majoris and a decent horde you have to do a lot of dodging and pick your time to attack because the swing speed is so slow that even if you build up the charges you often can’t attack to gain the armour and extra damage straight away from adrenaline surge, however I will say it’s a nice change from constant gun strikes
I don't understand why none of these armor parts is obtainable on it's own. :/
the developers want it as a full set so you cant mix and match with other parts which I can understand to a certain extent but the lack of color change is annoying.
@@Jack2505_ personally I don't understand that. I mean.. the helmet for example is THE staple for higher ranking dark Angels. Or robes.
Great review brother.. i tell you what, its harder now that's for sure ...the little ones are the ones now that take my health because parry has changed . you're so vulnerable now to wait for a perfect parry lol hopefully they tweak it a bit more on the next update.
I still feel comfortable with parry against minoris enemies. The timing is a bit different now. Don't know why the developer felt the need to mess with parry. Hopefully it will be fixed
They bugged the parry window, they said they will fix it.
They could have at least had the option to have him in Deathwing colors also. Technically the bulwark is designed after a bladeguard veteran, which is part of the Deathwing. In any case, he still looks badass, and I appreciate the additional content they keep releasing.
Yes I agree that the design still looks great, it would be nice to have the option to change colors together with the extra chapters they introduced in the dark angels pack. each class will have their champion pack and it will be interesting to see how they also look!
Bladeguard veterans can be greenwing as well. Not all veterans are deathwing, but all deathwing are veterans.

when you click "browse local files" make sure you click content the pak file then copy the downloaded file into that folder.
I gave it a go, still prefer the plasma and heavy bolt pistol. I do use the neo pistol with melta vanguard.

Currently still testing block weapons and the playstyle adjustment that comes with them. Overall though i do like the block chainsword on Vanguard up to ruthless has been enjoyable for me. Adds a layer of depth to the combat and challenge that i enjoy.
Great stuff! Good to hear you are comfortable with blocking up to ruthless difficulty. I talk more about chainsword blocking in the part 2 blocking video.. and check out blocking with the knife! It's quite good!
So when you use a blocking weapon and you 'block', can you still take damage?
You don't take damage when you block.
Wait a minute, what 3 stacks ( @2:00 ) you talking about. I'm new just started this week and fucking love this game and having massive issues parry and blocking on Angel of Death campaign difficulty.
at 2 mins it was at 2 stacks, the stacks are counted below the armor bars, everytime you block you will see a counter going up from 1 - 3, I should have made it more obvious in the video with a zoom in! check from @2:30 the block stack counter going up from 1-3 everytime I do perfect block.

Am I crazy or did you just not address at all how to use the block mechanic? Like what the difference is between parrying and perfect block.
When the enemy attacks you press the same button you press to parry, when that happens you block instead of parry. Perfect block works in the same way as perfect parry.
The perfect block/ Perry was bugged after the patch. The Devs fixed it quick that’s why it works now
Blocking Chainsword will probably forever stay on my Vanguard. Before patch I could never outdamage anyone on the Vanguard, now with the blocking sword I finally feel strong on it. Consistently pulling out more damage then most team mates using Block Chainsword and Occulus carbine. I never touch Meltas, I think they suck and are boring. I will never use block with Assault, armor on gunstrike is how they stay alive. Also +50% dmg on gunstrike coupled with the stagger you get to set up heavy attacks just pure outweight anything block can provide on that class. I might dabble with blocking weapons on Tactical and Sniper but it doesn't feel too good on those. I don't really like playing Bulwark but my guess is blocking weapons suck on that class?
gunstrike is better for assault 100%, the constant feedback is chainsword blocking is great as you said.. i need to practice more with bulwark regarding blocking as it can be a bit weird with that class atm for me.
I lied, the blocking Thunder Hammer is a banger on the Assault, but for me it was a struggle to adjust. I can safely do solo ruthless now and working my way up to lethal.
@Viktor_Johansson it is tricky to adjust to. Good pay off with the hammer when connected
@@Jack2505_ Bulwark is a personified block. That said, fencing + gun strike keeps armor up, and makes him immovable with the armor up perk. But block with bulwark is less of a counter attack move, more than simply putting out your shield and laughing your ass off while hords of nids smash against it without damage. I also like to stand in front of my team and just absorb all the gunfire with my shield. Even Zoans, except their stupid beam, you can just shrug off with the shield. That said, the actual new blocking mechanic does very little for bulwark. They overall forgot to introduce perks that make blocking weapons better. There should be something like gunstrike for blocking, just not a gun strike, maybe rather a counter-punch or something equivalent to a gun strike. Longer damage buffs as you mentioned in the vid, AOE damage on perfect blocks, etc etc. Refilling your abilities with blocks and so much more. But yeah, for now, Bulwark is best paired with fencing sword or fist.
@104thironmike4 it would have been good if the bulwark could absorb damage for a certain period with his shield then unleash the aoe stack damage to make him even more of a tank that actually benefits from the new blocking mechanic.
Are you sure you’ve got to hold it? That’s not how I’ve been using it, just tapping at the right time. Don’t hold - tap. This is how it works for the bulwark too
ive just been holding the button, its worked for me and that is what I clipped in the last two videos. when i was tapping it was parrying. holding works for me.

I’ve read in the code block is only active the first 0.33 seconds so holding it any time past that is pointless, unless it retriggers automatically for the next attack (I.e, holding it down blocks multiple attacks one after another without having to re press the button). Either way, on bulwark you have to tap to block. You asked in the video, and the answer is to tap and not to hold. This is how I do it on every class without issue. I just have to tap to block any particular incoming attack.

The Block versions of weapons have more damage for most of them, but on power fist the block version has the least damage, they need to rework the fist for PVE, also the blocking charge should stay until used or you get hit.
Yes I noticed the power fist block version has the least damage which makes no sense. it needs a rework for sure.

For Bulwark, I got comfortable blocking by practicing in the Trials. So long as you match the weapon type, it uses the weapon you have equipped so it's a quick and easy way to practice." Trial 1: Chain sword Trial 2: Power Fist Trial 3: Power Sword I think Tactical and Assault are better suited. Bulwark has some perk that don't proc off block weapons. While Tact has the scan on block perk and Assault the ground pound both which synergies fairly well. Atm Tactical is my favorite class to use a block weapon on.

Because it's easy to forget, I've been suggesting the Purple Chainsword since it's much faster then the relic version.
The cleave on the Block Power Fist with Ground Slam is pretty nice but ya Block type isn't very kind to slow weapons.

I’ve been tapping and it’s worked fine. Also if you hold on bulwark it just brings up the shield. So I’m not sure.

No change in perks. This time the blocking was working with the chainsword. If it keeps parrying. You might have to restart the game. Every weapon that blocks was blocking correctly.
For those of you curious, this is how block works: 1. Block is active on the first 0.33s of the parry animation 2. You can only gain stacks in those 0.33s, and only 1 per instance of block. 3. Each stack gives you 30% more damage for 2.4 seconds, which begins the countdown on your next attack. At 3 stacks, you also restore 1 armour and gain a AoE (4.5 meter) stagger that doesnt do additional damage 4. Upon perfect blocks, you receive 60% less ranged damage for 2 seconds
Super helpful, I had the same feeling like they took a step back just to make the block weapons work. Just buff damage to 30% balance to 15 and fencing to standard. That might help. And that adrenaline rush needs 5 seconds to really feel worth the effort.
💯 and maybe the buff works even longer for slow weapons like the hammer! Double the duration!

I tried it for the combat knife with vanguard and I agree I need more practice but it feels good for the knife 🔪
@@Snowfreak357 I’ve probably logged 250 hours. Everything is maxed out. For me, chainsaw is far more powerful, due to the AOE. The knife is so frustrating, unless you’re running an SMG sniper with the backstab perks. Then you can stealth in, stab, spray, cut until you aggro, then stealth out. It’s just not good in its own. Yeah, it stun locks, but unless you’re running melta, you’re gonna find yourself in trouble over and over again.
