Tekyiman Kontihene's message was in a bad taste. The beginning of the message was good. The conclusion was very bad. Any sensible peace lover would expect the elders to apologize for what the hooligans did to attack the Kumasi buses from Nkoranza funeral. Even, if it was true that some people of the Funeral party said barima nni Takyiman it did not justify the attack with stone sticks and guns. His claim that it started from the buses cannot be true. How could the people traveling in buses assault bystanders if they had not been attacked in the buses. We have seen videos of it. Any right thinking person can accept that it is easier and more likely to throw stones into a bus than for the people in buses to initiate assault on the people on the ground. Any wise person would have ignored the details of the incident to render an apology on behalf of Tekyimanhene and his people. The statement that "se wopan ehufuo a na wohunu ne barima" clearly indicates that the attack was intended and premeditated. They had come with stones The chief betrayed his dishonesty by saying that they all gathered by the road to proved that there were men in Tajyiman when the Otumfuo convoy was coming back. This is not a wise and peaceful statement from a traditional elders. It would have been better for the elders to be quiet than to make such a meaningless statement.
