🚨 Mexico Threatens Retaliatory Tariffs Against the US 🇲🇽💥
Mexico’s President may impose retaliatory tariffs on the US if President-Elect Trump proceeds with his "day-one" tariff agenda 📉. Trump has threatened to impose 25% tariffs on all goods imported from Mexico in an effort to curb illegal migration and the flow of drugs across the US-Mexico border 🌎🚨. President Claudia Scheinbaum warned that Mexico would respond to tariffs with additional measures, potentially risking vital trade relationships between the two nations 💼. Mexico has been the top buyer of US corn this year, making such a move significant for both countries.
🌾 China Secures Brazilian Soybeans Before Trump's Return to the White House 🇨🇳🌱
China is ramping up its soybean purchases from Brazil, securing more than half of its soybean needs for February to April at lower prices 🛒. China is also securing around 20% of its needs for May to June ahead of Trump's return to the White House 🏛️. These purchases come despite higher prices for Brazilian soybeans during the December-January period, a time when the US typically dominates the global market 🌾. While China continues to buy US soybeans, outstanding soybean sales for this marketing year are at their lowest levels since 2018 📉.
💵 Dollar Surges on Trump’s Tariff Threats 💰
Donald Trump's tariff threats have boosted the US dollar, with the Bloomberg Dollar Spot Index climbing 0.7% on Tuesday 📈. This could lead to record highs for the dollar, surpassing levels seen in the 1980s. The Canadian dollar and Mexican peso both fell sharply, with the peso down by more than 2%. Experts expect continued volatility in the markets as Trump’s tariff announcements create uncertainty 💸.
🇮🇱 Ceasefire Deal Between Israel and Hezbollah 🇱🇧🕊️
A ceasefire deal has been reached between Israel and Lebanon's Hezbollah militants after months of fighting, which started in October 2023. The deal was brokered by the US and France and went into effect early this morning ⏰. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu supports the ceasefire, as it allows Israel to focus on Iran's threats while continuing efforts to eliminate Hamas and secure the return of hostages 🕊️. President Biden confirmed that international efforts will be made to ensure the ceasefire is maintained.
📊 US Consumer Confidence at Highest Level Since July 2023 🛍️
US consumer confidence has surged to its highest point since July 2023, with the Conference Board’s index rising to 111.7 for November, up 2.1 points from October 📊. This increase reflects a more favorable outlook on the economy and labor market following Trump's election victory 🗳️. A measure of current conditions reached its highest in eight months, while the six-month outlook hit its highest in nearly three years 📅. Additionally, fewer than 64% of respondents believe a US recession is likely within the next year, the lowest since July 2022.

Corn growers should be more concerned about lefties wars on usa oil industries. As the oil industry goes so does ethanol market. Biden push for 100% electric cars will decimate the ethanol industry thus corn demand will crash. This tarif scare is a diversion from the big environmental terriosm attack on oil and agriculture.
US corn? Mexico looking at other markets! Wonder how many MAGA hats are burning in garbage barrels? 🤔
He is tariff man
Everything is for real , but we all need to consider speculation. It seems that we all live our lives around that? But the bottom line is that we also have a pulse on the decisions daily that we decide to make. Looking back on some old crop and input prices, it could be worse. Keep it liquid. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Keep up the good report. You guys always have great content. 👍
Mexico might go in to Brics if it happens there exports will be mostly from South America specially Brasil. I don't think 25% plus 10% tarifs to Mexico will help it will only push Mexico to get in to Brics. She aslo asked for the US to stop their own cartel and drug lord's with in the US.
Mexico will be getting corm from Brasil and Argentina a non GMO
Mexico will cancel all the US corn like China did.
People seem to not grasp that nearly every nation has import tariffs. For decades, the US accepted non-equitable trade penalties because we could afford it. We let it slide, especially for our military allies. And that will continue. What we're putting a stop to, is unfair penalties from our foes. And yes, we do have those who wish to do us harm, economically. China wants to be a superpower, fine, act like it. Step up and shoulder the burden that the US has carried since the end of WWII.
Same as last time Orange Jesus imposed tariffs,China said NAW we'll get our beans from Argentina and Brazil, same with Mexico and corn and farmers lost billions EXCEPT this time there will be no bailout which will facilitate the change from family farms to corporate owned and operated farms, but hey it's what you voted for ! Good Luck !
You are correct…..rural America overwhelmingly wanted it, it’s a head scratcher!?
Do your research. We have the upper hand with Mexico. I’m a rare bird. A corn belt cattleman and row crop farmer. Out west, when they get good forage, they love to move those Mexican cattle in to graze on it. When they don’t have the moisture, they stay in Mexico, and get sent up as brush finished to be ground and blended with the trimming from our whales. It’s a good system. I’m not a protectionist when it benefits American producers. They have a lot of work to do in order to figure this whole thing out, and I sincerely believe they will.
How it would be risk, as they allready banned corn
Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act of 1930 would be worth diving into.
That Mexican b is gonna get trumped
Mexico’s alternative is corn that is not subsidized by the United States Federal government. Good luck Mexico, you are powerless.
Enjoy your much deserved time off. Have a safe, happy Thanksgiving!
The only result of Mexico threatening tarrifs is Mexico being a net loser on virtually every metric. She is bluffing, anyways. The economics simply don't favor her.
I hope these politicians don't did there heels in. Tackle the problem and it's imagination and the drug problem. It affects all three countries
Thanks for your hard work!
Grain Trade War is good for Grain prices.
Yeah let’s just keep letting Mexico flood the us with drugs and people just so farmer John can keep his government subsidiesed pulling tractor😂 they need us more than we need them
Bottom line the president of Mexico has no control of her country,They seem to be happy to let the criminal industry fun the country,
I’m from Western Canada, ever since Trump won the election things have gone “south”. Markets have turned to crap along with other things. Question I have is why did American farmers vote for this guy knowing possibly tariffs were coming?? There will be other surprises coming down the road. It’s call hidden agenda. Ag is in beyond serious trouble! At current prices there will be no room for error going into next yr. Infact, margins at this point look to be in the red and will planting season is months away. Personally, I’m happy to be out of this game, but still want all farmers to get paid for all their hard work and what they put into it.
Imports from Canada, 4.3 million barrels of oil a day 12.7 million board ft of lumber 3.2 million tons of steel $11 billion dollars of aluminum What’s Tariff Man’s Hard**n against Canada 🇨🇦? Anyone?
He loves Pharisees
Saskatchewan potash is the primary source for US ag, about 80% I think. Other potash sources include Russia and Belarus. Pick your friends.
@ you care to elaborate, I’m kinda scratching my head on that. So the tariffs have something to do with a Jewish social movement in 70 AD? 🤔
@ 👌 Then I choose Canada 🇨🇦
@@billgallagher2797Jew is a made up word that didn't exist until the 1500s. The Pharisees controlled the money supply back then, that is why Yahusha flipped the table on them. They are still in control of the money supply, that is why prices change every second of trading. It's called money changing.
Mexico provides a drug addiction supply because the US has a drug addiction demand. Nonetheless , the way America treats its western hemisphere neighbors makes it easy for China to gain access. We need to be careful with tariffs , as it won't be long before China can replace the US as a trading partner ....permanently.
Then we work with another country and source all our China made stuff from them.
@@dancihlar331 hmmm, so the US can replace China with India ...no....Africa .....no....South America .....no.....Mexico...no......I guess that leaves Europe which is failing.
@@hoffrunHow about replacing China with US industry.
@ yes, replacing with US industry , but be prepared for massive inflation. US labor, materials and regulations will make anything we make much more expensive.
Happy Thanksgiving Joe and Mackenzie!
First point, Happy Thanksgiving to the both of you.😊 Second thing, Mexico is not an innocent country in the problem with the border. Four years of allowing this flood of people flowing from THEIR southern border. Now that the adults are taking over, throw your hands up and cry foul....
Last Mexican election cycle 40 people running for offices were shot in public heck of a way to loose election the current president is not a girl scout more friendly to Venezuelan drug cartels than usa president
soy looks set to drop here - could be wrong of course (often am) loads of resting orders at 965 but i reckon it will go lower then that. not advice just some charting thingies.
Good show. Please add cotton
Anyone have concerns over the tariffs on Canadian potash at 25 percent ? Will the Keystone pipeline be revived to bring in more Washington revenue from increased Canadian tar sands crude imports??
That's a great chart @ 4:45, Joe. Y'all have a safe & enjoyable Thanksgiving...🇺🇸 👍☕
I remember the days before 1,000 subs!
You and Mackinze do a great job keeping us informed
The lack of environmental curiosity for soybean production in Brazil amazes me……i hope they didn’t disturb any wetlands. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
They're free, you are not.
Seems to me that many years ago there was a big issue about Brazilian beef at McDonald's. If I'm remembering correctly "I may not be" but it had to do with cutting down rain forest for beef expansion. So I wonder since Brazil is such a big issue when it comes to growing soybeans are they still cutting down rain forest I mean where do they keep getting all these acres at there's more and more every year where is the public out cry. I smell a rat
They are destroying everything. It is the infinite money glitch. China pays them money to destroy the Amazon and the “West” pays them money to destroy it at a slower rate.
Excellent information.
No more monsato corn in Mexico.
Monsanto hasn't existed for over 8 years.
@@TheRoadfarmer Monsanto derangement syndrome. Haha
Mexico has an untested ruler and is in no position to argue with our country. IF we were not farmers, this is would be a nothing burger. Mexico is easily the most corrupt nation in North America. Ask anyone who lives there and be shocked at the level of corruption. The drug lords run it for the most part at the local level, and the current turds running our border have enriched the drug cartels with open borders and record fentanyl shipments to our nation along with all the illegals we are going to remove.
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone 🦃
Good content. Keep up the good work.
Happy Thanksgiving.
good video
Mexico building billion dollar export port is now going to ban products into Mexico that they don’t have. Ok
Good morning fert bros $UAN
Good morning! Will Mexico impose tariffs on US corn? Have a Happy Thanksgiving! We'll be back on Monday.
It's the nature of trade wars to have retaliation. Mexico and Canada will retaliate in ways that hurt us more than it will hurt them. If that's corn, then it will be corn.
@@steven4315 The US has a major trade deficit with many nations. How many want to get into a trade war with the US?
No. I believe they want the trade with China more than the dollar.
@@HillCountry11 Keep that drug trade flowing with China?
It would be very if cool both Joe and McKenzie were given the two highest positions of authority and decision in the USDA. That would be very cool to see.
China has tariffs on majority of us exports already no media or Podcaster will not acknowledge these common practices
