I forgot how special color edit was in KOF games. You could make anyone look like anyone. I remember making Kyo look like Kusanagi from KOF2002/2003 in CVS2. I remember making Kyo look like Marcus from Digimon Data Squad in KOF XI, lol. This video reminded me how special that feature is and how it made KOF more fun.

A great thing about KOF 2002 and KOF XI is that TOD (touch of death) combos (or you can say 100% combo or death combo) are easier to perform than in other games, due to 2002 having BC mode where you cancel special move into special move, and XI having team switch, Super Cancel and Dream Cancel.

@@kyokusanagi6611Really? For me, VF is easier. It has a button for guarding, while in Tekken, you hold left like in 2D fighting games (not counting Mortal Kombat) and even that is risky. Tekken has complex combos, it's like studying for school like someone once said. VF not so much. It DOES have combos, but nothing crazy you have to memorize, when i played VF, i treated it like a 2D game, because you can do moves and combos, which reminds me of how you can do moves and hits in KOF and SF and other games, while it's not the same with Tekken. That is your opinion... but for me, VF is way easier. As a system, i mean. Unless if you mean it's hard to win, then yes. I find Tekken harder to play, while everyone says VF is harder, but i just don't see it. Sorry for a long AND late comment.

@kyokusanagi6611 Wow, same with the first one. GG is awesome! Have you ever tried: 1. Melty Blood 2. Killer Instinct 3. Samurai Shodown (i know this is a bit obvious but not every KOF fan likes SamSho) I have other ideas but nothing is coming to my head.

@@kyokusanagi6611 My favorite is Actress Again, it has 3 styles so, it's a wide game in that aspect. Act Cadenza is fun, but it's kinda ancient since almost no one plays it. I am NOT saying old age is bad. We can enjoy anything. Quality is quality, whether it's from 1770 or 2024. I am just saying that some games are ancient and almost nobody plays them, not that they are bad. If i have to rank it: 1. Actress Again for having 3 styles, Boss Rush mode. 2. Act Cadenza. It has team battle. Even if AA is better, this does not mean AC is bad. 3. ReACT and 2002. They were the beginning games so, we should take it easy. Never tried Type Lumina so i cannot comment.
@@kyokusanagi6611 Also, be aware that Melty Blood is SOMEWHAT like Guilty Gear. It's its own game, but like GG, you can do air combos in it.

Honestly speaking, Ash and K' are my favorite main characters (after Kyo) if they can be considered that, because they play so differently, yet that makes them so special. Kyo has rekkas, and requires skill. K' has a down, forward, punch attack, after that, you can either kick or send a projectile. Makes him different from many projectile having characters. Ash is a charge character. I honestly enjoy difficult characters a lot.

It's interesting how, after KOF XIII KOF XV, also allows you two same characters playable in different variations. KOF '97 has Yashiro and Orochi Yashiro, Chris and Orochi Chris, Shermie and Orochi Shermie, Iori and Orochi Iori, Leona and Orochi Leona, Kyo and EX Kyo. Same with '98UM. '98 has Rugal Bernstein and Omega Rugal, Kyo and EX Kyo, Terry and EX Terry, idk, my memory sucks. '98UM has more EX characters. 2002 has CYS and their Orochi forms. 2002UM has that, has Kensou and EX Kensou, Takuma and EX Takuma, Robert and EX Robert, Geese and Nightmare. XI has Kyo and EX Kyo. Man, i always wanted to play Kyo and EX Kyo on same team in XI, hahaha. Because both play great. (Thanks for correction @ryuhoshi2275)

We technically have EX versions in KOF XV because the Orochi team has their Awakening version as DLC.
