DIY:Concealable Overflow Aquarium Drain Cover: Easy Bottom Cleaning!
มุมมอง 6609 หลายเดือนก่อน
My name is JIRO, and I live in Japan. To enjoy aquaterrariums with an overflow tank, I've considered designing a drain cover that automatically cleans debris from the bottom after burial. Since the bottom interior is not visible, I cannot confirm how well it functions, but I anticipate it will expel debris automatically to some extent. Here is the introduction to the fluid filtration system use...

DIY Nano Aquarium : Fluidized bed and a back-filtering water tank

I combined a fluidized bed filter tank, a back-filtering water tank, and a spring water system in my aquarium setup. I am translating from Japanese, so there may be some strange parts. Please bear with me. instagram➡️ tonarinoaquarium

I am Jiro. Fluid bed filters were made. The translation is done using DeepL. Thaky you. instagram⇒ tonarinoaquarium
you need sponge first to remove particulates from the water you need clean water to hit moving bed but great idea this is how i used to run my flex//水から微粒子を取り除くには、まずスポンジが必要です、移動ベッドを打つにはきれいな水が必要ですが、これが私がフレックスを実行するために使用した方法です
The snake is so cute! This DIY build gives me great ideas. Thanks!
Awesome fake rocks, this is exactly what I was looking for recently.
Thank you for letting me know it was helpful!
i think it is class i would love it on my aquarium
Your videos are wonderful 😊 Keep up the great work!
I would be very happy if you could say that!
That Little balls of what are Made?
The material of this filter medium is polyethylene glycol hydrogel carrier.
That's a very nice build! 😊
😃
This is fantastic. Thank you for sharing this video and great detailed information. :) Could you please let me know what the filter media is that you're using? Did it remain that buoyant after the tank had been cycled for a few months? Here is my attempt at translating 😅😅 これは素晴らしいです。このビデオと詳しい情報を共有してくれてありがとう。 :) 使用しているフィルター媒体は何ですか?タンクが数ヶ月間サイクルされた後も、その浮力は保たれましたか?
Thank you for your message. The material used is a polyethylene glycol hydrogel carrier with a specific gravity of approximately 1.025. It has been over two years since the installation of this tank, and it continues to function smoothly without any issues.
You need way more aeration.
Where's the as aeration?
Thanks for the interesting video, is this type of filter suitable for a plant aquarium?
Yes but don't build it like this. You need K1 media with a large volume of air injected.
Talented! 😁
1:39 where can i find this and what the name this
What are the arrows pointing to?
The arrow at around 4 minutes and 8 seconds indicates that the water is splitting into two streams. The next arrow shows that the filter media has gathered towards the center.
What is that bio bead media you are using?
In Japan, they are commonly sold under the name "Bio Beads".
Cool setup! Can you also show the final result when the filter running with fish and plants? Thank you
You are an artist! Well done!
amazing !
Excellent work on making the beads flow correctly without gathering in one place. Well worth the effort. Love it, oh and your tanks look really healthy.
Usually with Bio Pellets you do not need that many, a 1/10th of what you are using. All the water that leaves the pellets should go through a skimmer, using an external skimmer would work really nice because all the water would be processed.
Hey, very nice work! What type of media is that?
Hello! This is a media sold in Japan under the name "Bio Beads".
It's called K1 media I presume.
@@rajpadhi1 k1 i know its not, cause I have it. Never seen those beads around here. Very nice ! Ty for the reply
Doesn't look like K1 to me either. They seem to be neutraly buoyant as well. I would live to get some of these in the USA.
I'm using K1 and love it.
A lot of effort put into one section of this sump, in other words a lot of water, little media used, so much wasted empty space. 🏴
Or OP can add static media filter in the next chamber if really needed, by looking the tank is crystal clear so far is enough in my opinion
Fluidized moving beds are better than static media by a large margin. You can get way more biological filtration with an MBBR than you can static filtration. Look it up.
