Doctoring Calves in Wyoming
I got out of the silver shop and was the tag along with my husband and one of his friends to go doctor some calves.
The main thing we doctored for this day was pink eye.

Let’s Build a Buckle!
มุมมอง 19K2 ปีที่แล้ว
This video is going to show you a typical day in my shop. This was my 4th buckle build and as you can see, I’m still in the learning stages of buckle fabrication. It’s always fun to try something new and learn as you go, like I did in this video. All my pieces start out as one big, blank sheet of silver and then get cut and formed into whatever I come up with! I hope you found this interesting ...

What dimensions is the sterling silver sheet and the buckle dimensions!??
The buckle is 3”x3.5”
Where can I buy this kind of metal at? And what kind of metal is it?
@@AlexisPerez-qv2rs this is 16ga sterling silver. RioGrande.com
This is well after the original video publication. What a great video. I learned quite a bit from you. I'm a Kentucky Longrifle builder and am familiar with a lot of your tools and processes. I have worked my whole life as a metal fabricator. I've experienced what your showing, but it's only been individual processes. It's really great to see it put together as a whole process.
@@lae52 thank you!
Cute
What do you use to be able and get your brand printed out?
Also what torch do you prefer?
Hi, not sure what you mean by the brand printed out? I use a Little Smith Acetylene torch from RioGrande with a #1 tip

Sorry, I did sound confusing! Do you use a label printer and a app to get your brand printed out to cut it on the metal? It looked like a shipping label is the reason I was asking. I didn’t know if you used Canva and then printed it out or what you used to get the brand so clean and neat!
You made it fun and cute!!!
Thank you!
You make it look easy 😂, good job buckle turned out very nice 👍

Very interesting from a leather crafter. Fine work!
Thanks so much!
Like her work .
Absolutely beautiful~!! I've been wanting to make one for myself and you have inspired me to do so! You do a great job of explaining your steps. I would have loved to see videos on all the beautiful things you included in the intro of this one!! Where did you go?? PLEASE, start giving us more videos!! You are a good artist. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing your talent with the world! ❤❤🤍🤍💙💙
Thanks so much! I will have to work on getting a few more videos made.
Great video !!!!! Do more.
Thank you! I will have to put a few more videos together
Nice piece, love to see more. I think there should be a recess where the buckle thingy (the part that goes through the leather hole) sits on the buckle, otherwise it's going to move around and scratch the buckle.
Thank you. I think that’s a personal preference. Once the buckle is on the belt the tongue doesn’t move around too much. But I get what you’re saying. May have to try it some time
Hello! Great Video! I'm trying to get into making belt-buckles. What thickness of silver do you like to use/used in the video? Do you have any tips on how to figure out what thickness to use?
Hey, thank you! I recommend 14ga silver for buckles!
Hi can you tell me what to use to make the bar and prong?
8ga sterling for the tongue, 6ga sterling for the staple is what I use now.
Can you clarify what you mean? I am referring to the metal piece that goes through the belt hole and the other metal cylinder that holds it on the buckle.
@@Huntermorgan25nevermind, I see what you are talking about. Thanks for replying!
Looks great! I know first hand that having a content schedule is hard when you are starting out but I hope you are able to produce more videos! Great work!
Thank you! I’ll have to make some time to make more videos
Awesome work! I engrave and am workibg towards bckle building. How long did it take to get the glue off the back of the buckle? I'm probably going to try the hot glue. I use carpet tape on a lot of my stuff but it does shift if you have to apply too much force on a piece.
Thanks! Since this build I e definitely learned a lot. I may need to do an updated video. But I recently learned that if you use hot glue, fresh from the glue gun and then when your done, use 91% rubbing alcohol, it dissolves the glue so you don’t need to burn it off.
What is the name/brand of engraving tool are you using? Where can I purchase one? Very nice work on the buckle!
Thank you! I use a GRS Graver Mach AT with a 901 hand piece. You can but one at www.grs.com
Really cool
Very cool video! Would love to see more of this type of content!
Thank you! We will have to do another one
Nice job. I'm thinking about building me a buckle!

How much it cost to get one like that with my brand ?
Hi, feel free to reach out to me via Facebook or Instagram @ HC Silver
thanks for sharing the process you use. I miss my farm/ranch in Texas. Making stuff reminds me of back then. where did you learn to do this work?
Thanks for watching! It’s definitely something that you learn as you go. I’ve done 5 or six buckles since this one and already do a lot of things differently.

Hello and welcome to being a TH-camr. I used to do jewelry-making many years ago, so stumbling across this video brought back lots of memories. It's easy to see you have excellent skills in silversmithing, and I loved the range of designs shown in your other video. You're an engaging video-host as well, and I hope your channel takes off.
Thanks so much for your encouraging message!
