How To Make a Parcels Type Beat
Parcels is an Australian band known for their distinctive blend of funk, pop, and electronic music. They are often noted for their smooth, groovy sound, intricate harmonies, and catchy melodies. Their music is characterized by a retro feel, often reminiscent of the late 70s and early 80s, but with a modern twist. In this video I’m gonna demonstrate how we can produce a beat in the style of Parcels.

Amazing video again, absolutely on par if not better than the huge youtubers. You just need to figure out the algorithm, or perhaps its just a matter of time before it picks you up. Great music too!
Appreciate it man, I'll keep working
keep going man!
Omg this is so good. Please make another video on this production style! Would love to learn more about your process. Also, could you elaborate on your VSTs, i.e. what a certain plugin brings to the mix and how to use it properly in different scenarios. Keep it up bro!
that doubler trick is nice didn't know you could do that!
Reminds me of 9/11 tbh
Futurama
This was such a fun tutorial, loved the final product!
Thanks man!
Horrible ..the Beat bro..QUANTIZE !!!
Hey, great finished product at the end there! It did have a Kaytranada feel to it. A suggestion for you if you want your tutorial to be cater to beginners (I don't know if you do, it's fine if you don't), but it would be nice to hear you explain your different actions a bit more. I had no idea what most of your modulation choices did as you just go through like 10 steps before explaining what one of them does to the sound. As a beginner, sure I could follow along and end up with the same result as you, but I would have learned nothing about the process and would not be able to re-use it in my own songs. If it's not your goal to cater to beginners too that's fine!
Thank you for the feedback, I get what you mean. I'm honestly catering towards intermediate and beginner producers. I'll keep it mind to explain some of my production choices more in videos to come.
i instantly hit the sub button after finshing the video but your uploading cycle is quite worrying.
It’s a different philosophy, but creators aren’t upheld to our schedule. If the quality is that good, it’s sometimes okay to wait until they’re ready.
Dope video man! One doubt, how you get the quantize menu little square on Ableton with the amount at 7:36? Much love!
Appreciate it man! The shortcut is CMD + Shift + U
Thaaaaanks you ❤😂@@evaneaston43
Great video bro!! I just wish you spend a bit more time on the drum programming especially since no 2 claps/snares in a KAYTRANADA song sound the same, the kick s usually louder & more distorted & he uses that J Dilla bounce a lot meaning he doesnt quantize as much Overall though, 8.5/10
