This is the phone I recommend to friends who still need a home phone. Great sound, easy to use and nice size buttons.

Can’t get dialling tone
When an incoming caller is displayed, is it fairly large text that appears?
how do you get your received calls so you can call them back
That's what I want to know
Pages 20-23 in the user manual outlines how to use the stored caller id to return a call. ( Go the the menu and scroll down to find the miss calls log) This is provided that your phone company is providing the caller id information. If you are still having a problem - see page 47 of the manual to set your area code. If you are still having issues you can contact Gigaset customer service at www.gigaset.com I'm still liking the phone but since I blocked the scam callers, I only really use the phone for outgoing calls.

I contacted the Gigaset help desk @ www.Gigaset.com and they indicated the following: "To fix this issue, the customer needs to reset the base station: Disconnect the power supply Press and hold the paging button Reconnect the power supply while still holding the paging button for another 10 seconds The Base Station is now reset and all messages are deleted. All they need to do now is to pair the handset with the base station and we are done." So it seems to me that you are resetting the complete base - Make sure you know how to pair the handset (in the user manual) or you will just have another issue 🙂 Hope this helps

Jay, You should be very happy with the volume adjustment on the handsets. They are designed to provide enough volume to support what you are looking for. They are also designed to work with hearing aid devices if that is also something you might need now or in the future. It does not pick up the background noise, allowing one to hear only the conversation spoken into the handset even with the tv on. This was a big problem for my 92 year old mother and caused us great frustration when talking with her on her previous phones. My mother does have some hearing loss in both ears but the side button, audio assist, boosts the sound allowing her to hear clearly. Buttons are large and the screen is easy for her to read. It has a caller ID announcement which is a feature she uses to screen out unwanted calls. This phone worked out so well we bought a set for my 94 year old mother in-law and she loved it. Highly recommended for all ages. I like the way the backlight lights up the actual numbers on the buttons for easy viewing in the dark as my current phones light up around the buttons only.

No iPhone connection option - You may want to check with your IP service provider. They might have a feature to support what you might be looking for - Sometime called sim-ring.
And hoow do you clear all of this stuff shw put in so that I can start from the beginning?

A "friend" icked up the phone and started to put stuff in and now I cant get the phione to work following the directions --have no dial tone and dont kniw what to do now - I like the look and possivbilities of the phne but cant get it into the system.. I am so irritated with her and I dont kniw how tom get it back to the begiining to follow your directions!!!
Maggie, Have you tried contacting Gigaset customer service ? They should be able to give you the reset code and process to reboot the phone. - Let me know if this works - if not I can also reach out to them for you (I think) Also did you confirm with a wired phone set if your phone jack is still providing dial tone?

I don't know the reset setup. And I would think Gigaset does not want it easily found on youtube. :-) Did you call their customer care? I do know they will call you back or respond to your email. I don't have the manual in front of me now but if you need me to post their reach information, please ask. I will go find it

Thank you for your comment. I have not experience this. Just the opposite of my experience , my answering machine recordings are very clear. Have you tried having others leave messages? Maybe just a one off issue. Hope that is the problem. Thanks
Hi, where can i get this in the USA...?......Does the speakerphone, as well as the handset, get pretty loud and clear...?......i don't think it's a good idea to put the police button on a phone...One can easily mis-push that button(s), especially with older or non-coherent people.......Thank you....
Dawn, the phone is on Amazon - Just search on "E560A" and the different configurations of number of handsets will be available to purchase. The sound from both handset and speakerphone is very good and can be adjusted to be very loud. As for the "Police" Speed Dial option, I have talked with a number of police departments and they indicate that this is a good idea and the number of " accidental" calls from landlines are very very little. Most of the problems are from cell phones that have this feature built in. The Police campaign of "See something, Say something" fits into the option to have a 911 speed dial on your home phone - But I would suggest you contact your local police department and see what they think.

John, Hope you found a solution. I have not tested this phone supporting text display. I don't think it does support this feature. Also you must assure your landline provider supports delivering text over a landline. Most do not.
@@rickkrupka8962 Thanks for your respond, Rick. I think Google withdrew her strict demans. Anyway, Lewins channel is still up, and I didn't hear him complaining any more. I don't know all the technical details about those american landlines, but I was hoping/guessing there was a possibility that it might work the same way fax works, being that it is just a set of sound pulses that can be deciphered by the fax machine, or in this case, by the modern phone. How is the sound for deaf persons? When you put the phone on the base, does it hang up the phone call?
Not sure about the use case for deaf persons. This is a voice phone and the high quality sound may not be of value in this case. It is best to press the end key on the handset to end a call.
Mr Krupka, When I purchased the Gigaset E560a phone I was told I wouldn’t habe to use the answering machine. But there doesn’t seem to be an option to disconnect it. Do you know how to turn it off? Thanks
Hope you are enjoying the phone. To turn the answering machine off, go into the handset setting menu and find the answering machine screen - it will have a checkmark in the box next to the words - press the select key to uncheck the box and the answering machine will now be off. I will post a quick video on this procedure this weekend to show how it is done. - And thanks for viewing my video -
