In this Video we discovered our Chevy Tracker works pretty well on rocks and stuff . Enjoy , Its a longer video , but its got some good footage of off roading fun! Also if the Kids are near , There was some F Bombs and other swearing going down the hill please consider this as I did not want to remove the Cuss words as they showed how hard I was working to get off that hill. No they put it in the Toy Hauler fifth wheel Neat setup.
That is why I like traveling by road, you get to stop and take your time to see everything along the way.
What happened to your gmc I am also restoring a gmc lots of work, but she is starting to take shape.
What happened to the GMC, did you trade it in on the Dolphin? bet now u wished you kept it.. was it your wife pressuring you for more room? just wondering.. I have a 1978 Royale no wife and love mine..lol. I am doing some upholstery and electric upgrades. Thought I was going to remodel the interior. but decided not too. as she is still all original and in premo shape.. . (I work on RV's 5 days a week and still bought me a 40 year old motorhome).. But a very special one.. and according to Jim, have the best toy in the box..

I know this is old .. but I agree with you 100%.. GMC's are the best and I should know as I work on RV's as a tech every day.. well 9-5 mon thru fri... Most are junk.. I chose the GMC to buy for my own..

Sell generator to make room for batteries? Big mistake!
I did it too. I took out that 400 lbs boat anchore, but instead of adding batteries in there I installed an industrial grade 9 hp engine to run a 200 amp car alternator. I use two 1500 watt inverters to power AC appliances. One inverter is used for air conditioning, or space heater.. The other for powering the coffee pot or induction hot plate, or toaster oven. Eventually will replace current batteries with lithium power wall. This charging system can easily be repaired at a minimum cost without excessive down time. And it can be made to keep the battery pack charged automatically.

On my 77 palm beach I took out the old heater and started using a big buddy from Mr heater. Insulating is a big job but I used Styrofoam board and expanding spray foam. Each board was a half inch used to level walls and ceiling surface then another layer of Styrofoam to cover all metal structure so heat or cold won't radiate through . After that I used the reflexive bearior and finished with closed foam with a cloth upholstery and wood accents...I'm now working on cabinets and a Murphy bed up front...oh, the Flores have a neoprene rubber pad with wood flooring. Neoprene is good for sound deading and works great as insulating and heat resistance. Don't use reflectics for insulating, its a moisture bearior. And I should tell you about the water drain under the bath...I sealed it off with expanding spray foam to stop cold air leaks. If you're careful you won't need this shower overflow...that's what a mop is used for....

Your welcome you might want to get some Flex seal for the roof and take off the Roof a/c and close the vents as well as getting some Bags for your toilet and a few tubs for your kitchen sink and a large tub for your bath room tub and a min shop vac to use to clean out the water and toss it out its not going to hurt any thing and bags to line your toilet 2 bag min just in case you have a break in a bag they can go out with the garbage its not any different if you don't want to use your tanks that is the best way and to jug your water 1 jug per person to drink but 30 gallons total for washing and bathing and cooking and when you go out trash and jugs go jugs to refill ( those are just some tips that can help you hope they work let me know if you need more ) you will need to get a space heater for every 5 ft. if you just don't want to use your furnace and have a gas leak and the cooking can be done with out fear you can get a Kahuna for your showering needs and a Hot water stick to heat the water

We have gotten 13.6 From norcal to the desert then it dropped to 3.9 climbing the Mountains in to Arizona . About 10.0 average . Not to bad not to good , but it does weigh 12K! :)

I too had a 77 foxi moped. got it as a gift for my then girlfriend but she didn't want it.
There are those that know what's cool before it's cool and there are those that just don't know cool if it slapped him in the face... some people need to check the things they've had or the things they were offered to have... Now on another note anybody interested in it a 1968 step through Honda Trail 90 also a 100cc 2 cylinder twin Yamaha 1967 the Yamaha is not a step through it looks like a step through with a tank in the way if you are interested in either one you can email me or text me

Sweet Motorhome. I've always liked the GMC Motorhome. I've liked its shape. It's more attractive (I think) than most of today's motorhomes. What are you planning to do with it? Are you going to live in it? :)
Hey sorry to see you having so many issues I'd just get some all weather Calking and then the weather striping to line the window's or some Flex seal that works great

What's up man I was just looking through your video and found it to be very nice I have a Suggestion for you to get rid of the Rust use some Coke cola and a steal wool to get it shiny and then once its done then regular cleaning find your local cleaning service and look for a spray for cleaning Metal and then just use News paper to get clean after letting the stove or the sinks sprayed

Hey Guys! So I was searching TH-cam for gmc videos and who popped up? YOU GUYS! So I thought I'd say Hi! You just commented on one of my videos a few days ago...oh the irony! I just bought my GMC last month...quite the change from all my vintage trailers that I have !! I have an all original 76 Palm Beach and I am determined to keep her as funky as possible. Good luck on all the restoration. I know how it is since I restore my own as well. Can't wait to see the finished product!

Why did you remove your rv vacuum? I found that an excellent and convenient feature when I had my GMC....
Its still in the coach right now , But I am trying to get weight out of the coach.
If the vacuum works and you have the hose I'd be interested in buying it. We just bought a 76 Glenbrook last Friday and it was removed from our coach.
LnJ Photo Nomads that ownan generator weighs about 400 pounds, so get rid of it and go solar. You can use an inverter generator for charging batteries on cloudy days and for ac appliances too.

Hi Rosie..............Not to chime in on a different topic, & on someone elses post BUT- Just how man y models are there of 73-80 Gmc Motorhomes?? Everyday I hear of a different Model. Never heard of a Canyonlands ever.
Looking forward to see what you do with your couch. We are still searching our options for that space.
