    I've been watching your videos on the ladder of divine ascent and you're the only person I've found who has put words to my experiences. The writings of the saints have put words to this theosis experience but I always wondered why I experienced God for many years before he revealed His personalness to me. You spoke about this in step 27. This isn't something I'm able to explain to any Christians I've met because their theology doesn't allow for it? I understand everything you're saying in this video... I'm grateful our Father called you to make these videos. There's many videos on youtube about theosis and deification but it's usually just people speaking about the idea and reading church father quotes rather than speaking from direct experiential knowledge. All the love my friend

      Praise God, Connor, you actually get it! And in bucket loads! You are a rare man indeed, the kind to whom Jesus quietly called to his side and spoke of the secrets of the Father whilst all the other apostles were busy trying to work things out among themselves. You're so right, the experience of God-personal is so transforming to us. It's not just that Jesus is the presence of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit here on earth . . . it's more . . . his bridge to the Father makes us eligible to inhabit the heaven of heavens even, whilst living the human life on earth as much as in the forever afterwards. The Coptic Orthodox call that "living the resurrection life here on earth." I receive your love, Conor . . . the love of the Father and His human son . . . and return this same love to you, along with my prayers for your great expanse in God to be ever made more and more rich in His glorifying pleasure. I said to Sister Irini when she brought my attention to your comment, "There is another like us in the world. Praise God!" 😀 Thank you for taking the time to write, Conor. Much appreciated my brother.

      @@seasem I totally agree! And I receive your prayer wholeheartedly... 💙 We are united in Spiritual bodies, praying together! 🫂 This is actually an answered prayer of mine because only just last week I asked our Father if there's actually anyone out there who has had the same experiences that I have, or is even further along in this process than I am... And from listening to you I think you are further along than I am!! I still see myself as immature in ways, but I guess my immaturity would be viewed as mature to another... Haha. It's like the further you progress you see how much further there is to go. Once again, I love you, and all my love to you Sister Irini, let's see how things pan out👼 "’God should be with you like a toothache!’ proclaimed the nineteenth-century mystic Theophan the Recluse. And while most of us might have preferred a different metaphor, it does speak forcefully to the fact that our concept of God is sensate. Remembrance of God is not a mental concept; it exists deeply embodied as a vibration, a homing frequency to which we can become increasingly sensitively attuned.” - C. Bourgeault

      by spiritual bodies I just meant our quickened mortal bodies, sure you know what i mean anyway 😂 then again, are we even mortal? I get how as the outward man perish, the inward man is renewed day by day, but at the same time, we don't identify with the contradiction of death! Anything's possible so I'm not gonna place any limitations on what can happen in this body right now... The truth of who we are is glorified resurrected sons, and, I'm not sure we can say our body is dead if the Spirit has quickened it

      Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts, Renee. By way of reply, I can say that it was Jesus who initiated the request for these books on this topic, and I love that fact. Jesus Christ is the defence of each chapter in this series of books, and in every chapter, He provides each reader with the next level of revelation of God and the human soul and spirit when, as John's Revelation says, they have ears to hear him. Be blessed, therefore in your reading, your prayer, in your understanding and in your walk in these books with the Lord Jesus Christ, Son of Man and Son of God of the Holy Trinity.

    • @seasem
      @seasem 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Orthodox Christianity includes the statement by Pope Athanasius, "God became man that man might become God." Obviously a creature, no matter how deified, will never become the Uncreate God. So, what does Athanasius mean by his statement? The answer is in the investigation of one's own spiritual reality in Christ or in the Father. When we are fused with the will of God, our human virtues are uplifted to God's divine virtues. They have come to us by grace. They are not our own nature, or our own creative acts. It is in this way, through holy humility, that we recognise how our very being is transformed by those virtues that God is. We can find no separation between God and the human being, because the heart and spirit of the human being have so fully taken on the nature of Christ the Son and the Father. In this way, one is God.

    In humility and meekness is the lightness of faith in Him. And his arms reach you there.

    • @seasem
      @seasem 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I too find this to be so true, Gil . . . the foundation of union with God through Jesus Christ is His gift of humility which enables the loveliness of faith to alight on us with such gentleness, aversion to debate and argument, and gentle unwavering passion for loving outcomes made by Christ's union with our human heart and soul. The lightness of faith is essential to theosis, lest the heaviness of human belief suppress the divine faith in us.

      Like you, Gil, I have found that the opportunity to partake of heavenly citizenship here on the earth is the most extraordinary of opportunities. It opens up the most impossible of pathways and the most improbable of solutions . . . and the Holy Trinity of God is in all the opportunities, pathways and solutions. What a glorious thing, what this human life can become through the mercy of Christ and the love of the Uncreate Father.

    It upsets me seeing that, it is what has always kept me questioning of most religion per se. I have been returning to religion because i see the changes in the world occuring, and see what abscense of spirit does. It is time for a reinvigoration I believe

    • @seasem
      @seasem 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      R.R.R. . . . what a great title you have! You know, it's a good thing to outgrow the turmoil of whatever spirituality struggles to thrive at the mere religious level. We start to find new friends carrying new and higher measures of wisdom. Old religious liturgies are reinvigorated by a higher revelation of God's love and mercy. Past complaints about religions and the religious of the world, seem to quietly find their place below a cloud level containing the world's lower realms of fear and hatred and confusion and sin. We find ourselves awakened and, by the grace of God, walking above that cloud level, in the light of ongoing experiences with the living God; and doing it all through Jesus Christ. Then it is that we look around at the mayhem and sin of the world, the ungodliness and the fostering of antichrist right across the intelligent world, and we praise God for His salvation of us. Our prayers then turn to asking Him for direction, how we might be able to assist Jesus Christ in the making of this world into an offering to the Father that is acceptable to Him. We so want truth and beauty and goodness to prevail. In the works that we do hand in hand with the Lord Jesus Christ, so it happens . . . it is confirming of great divine joy in our hearts and in our faces for all the world to see and to question. Bless you R.R.R., for all that God is doing in you.

    Thank you Father for this inspirational teaching on Theosis. It is v like the the teaching on Living in the Devine Will given to Luisa Picarretta ( 1865- 1947) in The Book of Heaven . Opening up new era of Santification the essence of which is that we unite our will to God's Will. So there only one will. It also talks about transmutation. We are only on the cusp of this unfolding. Thank you again for this beautiful teaching.

    • @seasem
      @seasem ปีที่แล้ว

      Dear Margaret Philomena, thank you for bringing to my attention Luisa Picaretta. I had not known of her before your message. I went on line to research her writings. I love this that she writes: "Oh, if you knew the feast that my Will makes in created things, when It walks to and serves one who fulfills my Will! My Will, operating and fulfilled in the creature, and my Will operating in created things, kiss each other as they meet, they harmonize, they love each other, and form the hymn of adoration for their Creator and the greatest portent of all Creation. Created things feel honored when they serve a creature who is animated by that same Will which forms their very life." This is such a beautiful word from the Father. I have long been a friend to the writings of Jeanne-Marie Bouvier de la Motte-Guyon (1648-1717), called by many Madame Guyon, a Roman Catholic mystic who lived in France. After the death of her husband when she was 28, Jean-Marie devoted herself ascetically to mystical union with God. Her mentor, with whom she traveled for five years, a Barnabite monk Francois La Combe, taught that meditation of God requires a passive (quiet) state of contemplation that goes beyond the level of the conscious thinking process - quietism, and further on into essence mysticism. This union is the Theosis we live here in our monastery. Such intimacy with God is not at all widely accepted across Christianity, which is still in its youth with regard to knowing God intimately. It's nice to know that we are drinking from the same divine cup, Margaret Philomena. +

    Thank you. A message of much needed encouragement. Feels in my experience a repeated process. Time and again of getting stuck in a new element of darkness, then Jesus renewing me once again…

    • @seasem
      @seasem ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you are correct, Steve, new elements of darkness do arrive. Christianity has the expression that, "my future is hidden in God." Sometimes, faith prospers much by not knowing what's ahead, or, initially at least, how to overcome the darkness. At other times, the prophetic Word from God is light sufficient to carry us through the darkness of the unknown, and to bring us with great joy and expectancy into what it is that the Father has for us. The key to overcoming darkness, I believe, is to 'expect' that the Father is partnering with us, and thereby leading us into new and good things. Then our faith comes alive as the instrument of truth. And that is a wonderful thing in times of darkness.
