Ehi can you recreate the elektron model cycles in bitwig grid?

'how can I do that with sampler for hihat? I want to have good control over details, to make hiahats very organic, not just robotic, velocity etc is one way, but also filter movement and attack, decay etc what devices ai can use?

i didn't even know about this channel until i watched your interview on Harmonic Horizons a few days ago, and now i find out you made a whole video in Bitwig about recreating my module lol. super cool, man. makes me wish i still had Bitwig so i could play along :D great video as always, and once again, thanks for your seemingly endless support :P

Omri, have you seen Unreal Engine Metasounds? It is not as mature as the Grid, or the VCV Rack, but has got some interesting capacity in it. Your opinion is much appreciated.

In the past the way it seemed to me was that the Key Filter would be upset if I didn't at least feed it legit notes. If I sent it weird unofficial pitches, it didn't know how to deal with them. I dealt with that by running everything through a pitch quantizer in the grid that would ensure I was at least generating recognized notes, and then that would go into the Key Filter, and it would know what to do.

Great vid as always! Instead of modulating the pitch output, You can use sample and hold module between the pitch scaler and the pitch output and trigger it with the gate signal. Thanks man!

The LFOs in Bitwig have their own stereoization control by applying different phase offset to the right channel. It's located at the bottom left corner.

Awesome tutorial! I think I would even add a compressor device and reverb to the glitch output, because some of those artifacts get really dynamic in terms of volume and overall mix level

great stuff as usual, I often forget the specifics or polyrhythms vs. polymeters, so the idea of distinguishing between from if they sync up on step 1 is clever. I didn't quite get what's the difference between using transport and counter for this?

What's the reason for putting the phase counter in front of the 5 and 7 step gate modules? If you didn't, wouldn't it still cycle at the same rate?

Thanks for this! I was actually playing around with this exact idea last week (inspired by Monorail Tech Talk at th-cam.com/video/pSzMLAt6vEE/w-d-xo.html). But there is one problem I haven't figured out how to solve yet. How do you fix (or hide) that the shift register starts out empty upon transport start/reset? If I'm aiming for a four-note chord, for example, it will take four triggers before the shift register is fully initialized and it actually plays a four-note chord. Before that, I get a one-note, two-note, and three-note chord before the patch settles into the intended sequence of four-note chords.

Lol I just had the note probability trigger the same single note more than 16 times in a row. The fuck are the chances of that! Got some very vibey ambient out of my iteration here :) I'm replacing the shift dice with a chance module just so I can have a little more control over that though. I don't really care how true to the hardware this is tbh. Nice content as usual. <3
