Find Arokh.ini then change RefreshRate=60 to RefreshRate=120 it is not recommended as it will more then likely cause gameplay issues and graphical glitches. Hope this helps.

Honestly I can't remember what it looked like. I may have been talking about the first launch window. It might not show if it finds the driver correctly I wouldn't worry if its working fine for you. All the settings that you should need are in the options window. I'm glad you got it working it is really a good game. Have you played the sequal on PS2?

I was just wondering if there was anything I could do about the menu and hud orbs looking small, but I think that's just something that happens when it's played at 1920x1080. Eitherway your video really helped and I would have been stuck without it! I've wanted to play this game ever since I was a kid, but when I bought a CD on Ebay (around 2010) I couldn't get it to work properly on my pc. I had given up until I recently played the Ancient gates again on my old PS2; it was a huge part of my childhood and I decided that I had to finally play the first game. I started looking up ways to play the Order of the flame, but I couldn't work out how to download it through Arokh's lair? I'm not a tech-savvy person, so I had no idea what I was doing. It seemed easier to just buy a CD from Ebay and follow along with your vid - and it worked!

​@@Davestubetorials I'm sure that there are plenty of other people out there that really want to play OOTF but can't get a hold of a working CD / don't know how to download it from Arokh's Lair. Whilst there are a couple of guides here on youtube, they're not very clear - either they're in another language, want you to use a sketchy torrent site, or they don't show the whole step by step process I'm sure that if you made a video, essentially a "How to download and install Drakan: order of the flame - for dummies" showing every step of how to get the game without the CD, from start to finish, I think you'd help to introduce a good number of people to a criminally unheard of game! Though it's just an idea

Try this its suppose to have support for midtown madness 1 and 2: www.gameranger.com/games/. I might try it out later myself and make a vid if it works like it says.

Links were taken down all the links were there when video was posted. I went to the site and the browser actually blocks it and so does avast. They claim its a bad site, more then likely Nintendo complaining about stuff. You can see the sites in the video just google them. Just be aware incase the site actually has been compromised.

Found this explanation online : how much a defined angle of your stick relate to the wheel rotation. - dampening: how long it takes for the wheel to reach that angle, the more dampening the slower and slugish the steering feels. This is pretty much a setting for analog controllers.

I believe I have that game give me a day or two.

The same thing happened to me it seems to be a bug in the new version. Hopefully they will fix it soon. I have gone back to 5 older versions and they all seem to crash to black screen for some reason. It may be an old registry entry I never had issues with this emulator till this latest update. I will do some research for a fix and write you back

Lol yes it seemed to have the settings reset and the button that says directory chosen I got mine working just now lol.

Thanks for the heads up. I just recently started using Retro Arch with the cd PCE Fast core it loads from image files super easy, I think its one of the best ways to play, I love to use shaders and retro arch has a ton.

Try pressing the comma key by default that turns that feature on and off. Let me know if that works

Try downloading this direct x www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35 install it see if it works after that. But first open emulator go to sound then settings check the spot that says output device see if it has more then one entry and try another one. Also change the sound driver to see if it works if not try the download from above. Also let me know what version of windows your are using if the above doesn't work.

Sounds like its a bad copy. Are you using windows 10? I'm running it on Windows 10 with no issues.

@@Davestubetorials I'm using a laptop that's on Windows 11.

It might have something to do with DEP settings follow this link and tell it to turn off when launching the installer for the game www.webnots.com/what-is-dep-and-how-to-disable-it-in-windows-11/

@@Davestubetorials Hey man I tried that on Windows 11 didn't work. I went back to Windows 10 and did all the configuration stuff and dep and it still glitches. What should I do? I really want to get this game since it was a core childhood ps2 classic for me.

If it did the exact thing on and 10 and 11 it must me the game disc its self.

Yes this is the best in my opinion, turn off the lights and play lol. Shame most newer games can't do the same. DLC and pay to play have ruined gaming.

@@larsulrich3356 Free to play really means pay to play. You play for free then you have to pay for perks to be any good at it. Gaming has been ruined by greed. Just my opinion. That is why I love the classics, don't get me wrong there are great new games but not like in the past.

That message should only come out for a specific reason, not when staring the game and it shouldn't crash , I hate to say it but you must have done something wrong. Try staring over from scratch.

You need to have the Mediakite/Ultra2000 Japanese Release in order for this to work. Is that the version that you have?
