Awesome piece of history!
Il faut absolument restaurer ce document !
Ray is having so much fun! The man is practically jumping out the seat! Amazing duet
This is why TH-cam exists.
That was such a feel good blues to get you swingin' strong!
blues for big scotia...
DUE GIGANTI...
I just stumbled on this gem of a clip where two of my favorite people appeared together. I had assumed that they had never met. The only regret I have is that Ray did not do a rendition of Hymn to freedom by OP. I believe it would have been something to listen to. RIP maestri.
Jamie Foxx certainly gave Ray Charles the respect when he played him in Ray.
Ray`s playing is heart and soul. Oscar`s is heart and soul plus virtuoso technique. Check the tremolo he did ?
This has gotta be one of the best posts I have ever seen and heard. Period!
Absolutely 💯
Does anyone know the name of the alto sax player?
This comes from a CBC (Canadian Broadcasting) 1 hour program called "Oscar Peterson, Very Special" in the early 80's (in good quality color), featuring so many greats like Ray, and a Norman Grantz presentation of JATP with Roy Eldridge, Zoot Zims, Clark Terry, Ray Brown, Louis Belson and so many others. Man, I wish someone can post that show on TH-cam in its entirety.
it is rare...
hi, I'm looking for the title of an old popular piano solo tune which is slow and lazy. goes- "doh do do do doh da do de do, de do, do do da do, doh do do do doh da do de do, de do, doh da do do de doo , doh da do do de do, doh da do do de dou, doh da dou, da da dou, da da do da da do. doh do do do doh da do de do, de de do do da do" and so on, would be much appreciated.
😐
Ray was in the same level with jazz pianist when playing.
I'm in HEAVEN
RAY BROWN ON BASS?? FIngers at 3:30 give it away if not the sound, beat, and lines
WHO was the man on double bass near Ray Charles? He had a great style and was groovin with music of Ray and Oscar who were a dynamic duo! No wonder audience jumped to their feet in standing ovation when they finished. Just spectacular😍
JUST REALIZED IT IS RAY BROWN, almost sure of it! Been listening to this for years, amazed by the bass playing, thinking only a great could have that sound.... then I thought of Ray brown today and saw a short clip of his fingers in this video. Furthermore, Ray Brown played with Oscar for ages.....
@@simhendra2377 Thank-you! I'm sure you're correct as he really looked in charge on that bass and was enjoying himself although he was far away from OP and in bacground. I loved the Oscar Peterson Trio with Ray Brown and Ed Thigpen on drums. BEAUTIFUL😍
THAT was tremendous! Simply iconic😍
One of my favourite ever live performances by two phonemenal pianists .... Oscar the virtuoso forever humble and Ray the natural genius overflowing with soul & vitality .... I dare you not to feel this music!!!!
What a treat!!!!
Got to be Ray Brown on bass? dont see him , but sure hear his sound...

FreakyFlob91 Thank you! This is mind blowing! Just so brilliant.
Just got this video, outstanding memory! Thanks!
Love the way they talk to each other!! So positive, hard to find it in today's World!!
Two piano legends right there, love it!
These cats are swinging hard.....
I believe that the song they are playing is an Oscar Peterson composition entitled "Blues for Big Scotia". This is a session that shows the brilliance of both artists. May Oscar and Ray rest in peace. I truly miss them.
ray inolvifable gracias por subirlo
This is pure...just pure blues feel from two of the great piano masters.
This is jamming of the Titans.
WOW! UNBELIEVABLE!
Ray...could he be the best jazzist pianist performer ever
Can't help but think that these pianists are getting their groove foundation from no one less than Ray Brown. He's barely to be seen but the feel, the lines, the sound - it MUST be Ray? Anybody got any evidence?
se puede decir algo.....más vale escuchar
Can't get more fun than that!
better than Louis XIII Cognac
Ray and Nat -what a combo that would have been
Two difference sounds, Ray on Fender Rhodes and Oscar on the grand! AWESOME!!
Two Giants....and a great hornsection...
