About Max Adrian and His Art
Known for his experimental textile creations, Max Adrian draws inspiration from a range of crafts, including quilting, costume design, puppetry, and theatrical fashion. His bold, colorful sculptures literally “swell” in the presence of the viewer, reflecting an interaction between body and space. Adrian’s work questions how consumer culture and desire shape our identities, creating a dialogue between materials and themes of queerness and transformation.
