Just throwing up a video of my new to me 1998 Polaris xc 700 with 220 cylinders. I went through the sled and found the factory can was completely fallen apart inside. I cut it open and welded in a pipe with a bunch of holes drilled through it along with a big winding coil of metal similar to the factory setup. I will eventually look for slp replacements.
Ford 145 LGT with Front End Loader

Just a quick video of my newly acquired Ford 145 LGT. It came with a mower deck, 2 stage snowblower a winter cab as well as a levelling blade that attaches on to the loader. I just put a new solenoid in it as well as removed some suspect wiring in order to get it firing every time. As I would turn the key and it would just click. It has the Kohler K321 in it. I hope in the video that Kohler kla...

John Deere 332 Diesel Bercomac Snowblowing Record Snowfall
มุมมอง 65K10 ปีที่แล้ว
It's been a long and very cold winter with average temperatures in the -30C range. The snow is getting to the point where we can not throw it anywhere! But I will keep at it with my 1989 332 Diesel tractor. I had modified a 2 Stage Craftsman snowblower to fit on the front of this beast. It sure saves my back and makes quick work of the snow. I love this thing. Any questions feel free to ask!

Just a quick glimpse of my restored Rockwell/Beaver Lathe. It was well rusted and she cleaned up nice. The ticking in the video is the right side of the lathe vibrating on the crappy stand its on. The lathe isn't bolted down on the right side. Once I walk to the right I press down on it you can hear the noise stops. She runs quite and very smooth. I will be tossing out the crappy stand once my ...

    I have the 318 with the Berco blower. That blower is a great snowblower but wish it wasn’t so loud . I replaced bearings, belt and the gear chains this winter. I also replaced the engine with a Vanguard 18 hp . I like that setup you have . I have a gravel driveway so I welded on some bigger skid plates. I haven’t tried this new setup out cuz we are finally getting plowable snow tonight here in Northern Minnesota.

      Sounds pretty sweet. As much as this setup worked great for me, I got tired of changing the setup back and forth every spring and fall. Bolting on the brackets and routing belts was annoying. I eventually traded the setup for a Kubota bx2230, with the quick attach loader and snowblower it has been just amazing. It blows snow very well, however I will say I still think my old bercomac setup threw the snow further. Probably ran at higher RPM.

      I offered I would help you? I don't recall that. I can't provide you with any pictures, as I eventually sold the tractor combination and bought a Kubota setup with a loser and blower etc. I don't have any plans or drawings, I modified brackets and whatnot myself to make the setup work. Probably not something I can really explain without being there..

    I would have bought it (if priced right) because they are neat little tractors and don't go up for sale to often, within my 3 or so hour driving radius limit. Then the real "getting to know my tractor" period begins. It's like the honeymoon period before the novelty wears off. How long before that happens is highly correlated to the number and severity of issues unveiled during this process. And now you either feel good about having bought it or wish you never got out of bed that day

      I don't have the sled anymore to get a picture or anything, but what I did was drilled a little hole in that arm, and hooked a spring to it to always pull it back to the closed position. Kind of how old carburetors worked on older vehicles

    do you have pictures of the inside of how you mounted the plexiglass in? I have the same doors and windows are hazy and have a hard time seeing out. how thick of plexiglass did you use. thanks

    • @VeghTheHun
      @VeghTheHun 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I took a razor and cut out the old film all the way around. Than I cut a piece of Plexiglass, which I had kicking around, maybe 1/8" thick, slightly larger than the window opening. Than I held it up to the opening in the door (on the inside) and drilled holes through the Plexiglass in each corner right through the fabric but between the stitching and just bolted it on. I think I also added Velcro between the Plexiglass and the fabric to make a good seal. Sounds confusing but I hope that helps.

    The knocking is irregular,I have a 321 that a screw holding the throttle butterfly to the shaft in the carburetor made it's way in to the top of the Piston fortunately no serious damage just nicks and dimples. Pull your head and perhaps flywheel shroud I don't think it's going to be serious just something made it to where it shouldn't be.

      Denny W I have better things to do than lie about what's done to my sled.. At the time of this video it was the stock pipe with a modified stock can. Not gutted. The orginal baffles were done so I opened the cab and removed them, than took a pipe roughly 2' diameter and drilled a bunch of holes through it and had that welded inside the center of that can, which in turn I had sheet metal wrapped around the pipe with the holes I made it very similar to the factory swirl style that was in there originally.. Since than I have installed an Slp pipe and slp can.

    • @VeghTheHun
      @VeghTheHun 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gary Geoffrey hi. I don't have the manual so I am not sure which bearing you are referring to. However u have to remove the counter clockwise nut from the left side of the machine. Also remove whatever attachment end u have on the lathe. Which is attached by normal thread. Once u have the ends off, make sure u have loosened the pulling grub screw, this way when u strike the shaft with a rubber mallet it will slide through the pulley as well as the 2 bearings. After which u will have easy access to the bearings from the back side

  • @garybray3614

    Watched your video. Liked. Made these mods to your method. Instead of using spacer in cap, drilled hole in middle of cap, so tight fit with paracord. Pushed paracord thru hole with sharp toothpick. Melted the end. Pushed toothpick thru paracord making a "T" and broke off so would fit inside cap. Pulled back tight against cap and filled with Plasti. Plasti the outside of cap where paracord comes out. Should be no wicking action from paracord. For light, used Rustoleum clear coat that BONDS to plastic. Did 5 two inch sprays and let dry for 24 hours per spray. (overkill?) Light very clear and can see paint soaked around light. For speaker, covered with small piece of clear scotch tape before using Plasti. Did not want anything going into speaker. Speaker works very well. Thanks for the video, I just went a little further.

      @VeghTheHun 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** Nice! Glad to see it inspired you. The only thing I would be concerned about is how well the rustoleum spray will hold up to use and the elements. I guess only time will tell. Hopefully it works out for ya! I like your paracord idea as well!

    • @VeghTheHun

      I agree that the design is strange. It works well. But doesn't seem like it would be the most reliable. However I built mine from the drawings that actually came with the original john deere blower as it was the most practical for me at the time. Converting to shaft drive seems like a much more difficult task. but great job!
