    I have a double red petite knockout rose. When you repot you didn't use any biotin for the roots to keep it from going to transplant shock.

    PLEASE HELP 😊 I want to paint a design onto my cement steps. With acrylic paint and small paint brushes for detail. Im painting the face of the steps so you see the design facing you as you walk up them. What should I apply as a base coat BEFORE painting on my design. Also, what sealer do I apply at the end. I live in an area that snows. Thank you.

    What would you suggest to train a well-established wisteria to put all its energy into extending its furthest reach out along a cable it's been growing along? It keeps sending out side branches rather than pushing the leader, even though I've trimmed all the possible "detours" for growth. Should I snip a few inches off the leading edge? Thanks!

      @@squidikka deer ate them fairly soon afterwards down to the ground. I pulled up the reminder and Home Depot let me return them. We have moved since then and I haven’t tried any since.

    Can I trim the runners growing in every direction off this late in the season? July 3rd today. I planted last spring and didn’t get any blooms this years. Is too young to bloom or did I do something wrong. It was sold as a tree, so I didn’t know I was supposed to train it. I have one large limb growing sideways leaning down. I did stake the tree. I probably need to cut and restake it. I don’t know when this should be done. I wish I could post a picture .

    I believe you need to sharpen your chain. Just saying. I have a MS 271 and it is much faster than that.

    mine have something, maybe aphids that have eaten lacy like holes in the leaves. Any suggestions?

      I don’t do anything if it’s not too bad but you can spray them with some neem oil (just make sure to follow the instructions) - I just hate to use anything that will kill bees and the good pollinators. Drift roses are pretty resilient if they are just being lightly snacked on.

      Unfortunately it has since closed down I believe. The owner is now operating a restaurant at the flea market. It was The Barnyard Flea Market in Columbia, SC.

      I'm up north. We have the cutest snakes up here. Red belly are the smallest in north America and they eat slugs. Smoth green snakes aren't that much bigger and the garters are also charming fellows.

      @@cherylbee9899 I've got a slug problem. Slimy plant destroyers. I set up snake hides and toad abodes to help protect them from my chickens and guinea fowl. The Guinea fowl are for the ticks but those obnoxious dinosaurs are another topic.

    I see pictures of grand tree forms wrapping around a pole for that effect would we keep two vines or must we keep one at the start? I have a small one i need to put in the ground

      I have seen them with two main twisting vines before also. You could definitely go that route.

      I got the post and petunias at Lowe’s and the Wisteria at a garden center in Augusta, GA. The mulch also came from Lowe’s.

    That pot will be be gorgeous when it blooms! Love the Superbena! I have sparkling amethyst in a hanging basket with yellow supercal petunias (petunia calibrachoa hybrid) and blue superbells. I haven't been able to get my hands on pink cashmere yet.

      The Barnyard in Columbia - but I don’t know if he has them anymore as he has sold most of it and concentrated on a restaurant at the flea market now.

    Does it ever bloom? I’ve had mine for a year and it grows quickly but hasn’t bloomed yet

      Mine was blooming when I got it. I think some varieties take a few years to start blooming but the ones I’ve seen in garden centers are usually already blooming. They usually only bloom in the early spring then maybe a random bloom or two the rest of the summer.

    Beautiful time of day in the garden. Enjoyed hearing the frogs in the background. Even with the storm, the flowers are wonderful. I love that they reseeded themselves between the bricks. I've had my Calibrachoa come back every year. How did you restrain yourself in the shop? I saw so many wonderful things.

    It looks good! A wonderful Mother's Day gift. I like that type of drip irrigation. I didnt know they had the things where the water comes out like that. I like that better than traditional drip type.

      I definitely like these as you can adjust them and each plant is getting it directly to them - and it’s a quicker delivery than the drip.

    Great choices! I know those Magnolias smell heavenly. You can never have too many Superbenas. Ever! Augusta Ga by chance? That's my neck of the woods.

    What is the little sprinkler head you used called? And can you adjust the drip?

      I believe those are called bubblers. You can adjust the drip from off to a wide circle of water (several inches).

    Other than the chain being sharpened, I don’t get why people are giving you a hard time. You never claimed to be a professional, but the tree fell exactly where you said it would and no one got hurt
