Im painting the face of the steps so you see the design facing you as you walk up them. What should I apply as a base coat BEFORE painting on my design. Also, what sealer do I apply at the end. What would you suggest to train a well-established wisteria to put all its energy into extending its furthest reach out along a cable it's been growing along? It keeps sending out side branches rather than pushing the leader, even though I've trimmed all the possible "detours" for growth. Should I snip a few inches off the leading edge? Thanks!

Can I trim the runners growing in every direction off this late in the season? July 3rd today. I planted last spring and didn’t get any blooms this years. Is too young to bloom or did I do something wrong. It was sold as a tree, so I didn’t know I was supposed to train it. I have one large limb growing sideways leaning down. I did stake the tree. I probably need to cut and restake it. I don’t know when this should be done. I wish I could post a picture .

I believe you need to sharpen your chain. Just saying. I have a MS 271 and it is much faster than that.

Beautiful time of day in the garden. Enjoyed hearing the frogs in the background. Even with the storm, the flowers are wonderful. I love that they reseeded themselves between the bricks. I've had my Calibrachoa come back every year. How did you restrain yourself in the shop? I saw so many wonderful things.
