Chasing Wahoo of Tweed Heads found heaps of massive schools of Longtail and Mac Tuna. In amongst the school I spotted what I believed to be a Great White shark breach through a said school of Tuna.

Whilst Spanish Mackerel closure is in full effect I decide to change it up. Head down to the Port of Brisbane in the hopes of catching a Jewfish, Threadfin Salmon or Snapper.

It’s been 10 Months since I’ve been targeting Wahoo mainly of the Tweed 9 mile Reef. In this session I’m lucky enough to make a dream reality. Big shout out goes to Scott Williamson who has help me with lots of tips on all pelagic species but especially on Wahoo. It was great to head out together on this particular day. Love being out Jet Ski Fishing.

    Awesome fishing video, mate. How do you like the Fishpro so far, mate? Any issues? I plan to get one around October or so for fishing and spearfishing around SEQ. Keen to explore the bay. Thank you and tight line! Btw: that first bream got saddleback syndrome, possibly caused by lack of micro-nutrition or unfavourable growing environment.

      @@dicungDon Cheers mate glad you enjoyed. It’s actually a GTX 130. Very similar to a Fish Pro but with a smaller swim platform. It’s my wife’s ski . I have a Yamaha wave runner myself and after putting a lot of hours into both you honestly couldn’t go wrong with either. The only thing if you get a Sea doo is when you flush the motor after use only run the water through for the recommended factory time . It’s about 90 seconds. Prolonged flushing can heat up the carbon seal and crack it. So many stories of Sea doos sinking. But I’ve had zero issues with our ski. I’ve put jet ski collars on my Yammy because I troll offshore with it and now it can’t sink and is very stable even in the rough stuff. I reckon a set of collars on a Sea doo would be awesome . You can see the collars in my other vids if they peak your interest. Thanks for watching.

    Thanks Mate. You did well and that’s a great video. It looks like you were maybe using a prawn imitation on maybe a 3/8 or 1/2 oz. A friend and I tried earlier in the week and couldn’t raise a scale so will have to keep trying. Just curious - When you were drifting, was your plastic bouncing on the bottom or wafting along in midwater?

    • @Jakhunta
      @Jakhunta 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks Mate. I was using 4 inch Berkley jerk in nuclear chicken on a 1/2oz TT jig head. I did have a prawn imitation on another rod but didn’t use it as they were smacking the jerk shad. I was working them off the bottom. Keep at it mate and the rewards will come.😊

      Thanks mate. I’m actually more set up for high speed trolling pelagics offshore. If you’re interested you can see my other videos. First snapper and the one I dropped were on a 6’0 4-6kg ugly stick spin rod paired with a 5000 Shimano Saragossa. 3 other fish were caught with a pflueger vintage supreme matched on a 5’6 Penn 6-8kg jigging rod. On both outfits I ran 20lb braid with 30lb leader. Spin rod had a 110gm Zerek fish trap vibe. Baitcaster had 5 inch gulp jerk shad and a 1/2 oz jig head.
