See Why Madan Mahal Fort is Arguably The Best Place to Visit in Jabalpur
Today we are visiting one of the best places in Jabalpur with a rich history, the Madan Mahal fort.
It was in 1116 when the Gond ruler Raja Madan Shah constructed this fort.
The history of Madan Mahal Fort goes back to the reign of Gondwana kings that this fort was said to be the pleasure palace of tenth Gond King Madan Singh, son of Rani Durgavati.
At present, Madan Mahal is maintained by the Archeological Survey of India.
Try visiting Madan Mahal Kila as locals call it, during winter as the weather will be pleasant.
Madan Mahal Palace is well connected through railways, airways, and roadways. We chose to drive to the base of the fort.
Be prepared to climb a few hundred steps as the fort is built on top of a cliff.
Sunsets from the top are to die for. You will get a panoramic view of the entire Jabalpur City and sunset together.
Fort is open from 7 am till 6 pm. Be sure to leave before it becomes too dark as the fort area has so many black monkeys and they can be aggressive with tourists.

    Fulki Deep fry bolls are filled with white mutter or peas or Ragada not with potatoes in Jabalpur. Ragada is gud for health rather than potatoes filling .And their taste is awsme we use to call fulki or Panipuri. No one beat the taste of JABALPUR mouth watering chaat in India❤.
